My views on compassion – June 1, 2025

Central to the character of any good man is his ability to feel compassion with other men, and indeed to all sentient life. Compassion makes man righteous because it demands of him to transcend the material world and ascend to the moral plane; compassion is the quality that upholds moral order, by making the righteous way manifest in the world. Without this quality of man, there would be no humanity and there would be no civilization – all things that make man essentially human would not be without his quality, above all else, to feel profound compassion.
In modern times however, compassion is a concept that has been perverted and misunderstood: often as something that should be seen as an ability by men to indiscriminately accept great quantities, always at the expense of the great qualities of life, in an attempt to include all, because by including all men, wicked as their actions though may be, modern man believes that he can create everlasting peace. By degrading the concept of compassion, just in line with the tendency by modern man to adhere to what either is or amounts to moral relativism and his belief in the "evolving" nature of man, compassion is made available for those things and actions that do not deserve compassion. Indeed, what was often rightly labeled wicked and immoral by people in the past is in modern times being sanitized and accepted as legitimate or morally neutral qualities of certain men; this all in the name of the inclusion of all and for the benefit of all. If every action and every form of being should be made legitimate and withstand the scrutiny of moral law, then there is no longer such a thing as compassion. By extending compassion to the extent that everything should be considered legitimate and any scrutiny should be considered illegitimate, modern man has effectively erased the concept of compassion altogether. It is not compassionate to confirm or affirm the bad qualities of life or the bad qualities that make up men. By being inclusive of wrong, modern man has allowed for the imposition of immoral character on himself and other men.

of Green Tara (तारा & རྗེ་བརྩུན་སྒྲོལ་མ།།)
Compassion is the quality that uplifts men to higher beings, that allows them to transcend the material world and to enter into the moral plain, but allowing all men to ascend to this plain, modern man has effectively brought down the moral plain to the level of the beast. In the modern world, there is less and less to ascend to and to strive for, because modern man has convinced himself of his own ability to rule supreme over the material world – modern man has committed idolatry and as such his moral domain has been made equal to the purely animalistic and material plain. By claiming and demanding equality, where no such thing exists, modern man has allowed for the erasure of moral boundaries that allow the world to makes itself apparent across multiple dimension—instead the world can only be allowed to manifest in the material plain—leaving the beast as the only legitimate form of being and ultimately the world in ruins.
In the Kali Yuga the world enters a phase of entropy and chaos, making it ever more apparent that the hierarchies and the boundaries that made the world manifest the source are now in a state of decay, such is the case of the modern world, but I do not fear this, because I know that at the close of the Kali Yuga, the world will enter a new dawn that will allow for the rebirth. Compassion is the quality that allows for order to make sense of the world, but as this quality degenerates and departs more and more from the source – there will be less and less order and the world will make less and less sense – this is the way of the Kali Yuga. Embrace the transition – become one with the all.
