Thoughts about the new year |
Sunday – December 28, 2025
Indeed, the year of our Lord 2025 anno domini is soon over and I have some reflections to share in this post. I believe that 2025 has been a bad year, and this is mostly because of our era, the Kali Yuga. But I believe that bad things prompt good men to seek the light: indeed I believe that the light can only grow more intense in darkness and to that extent I believe that by starting this blog I have contributed to my own insight. Well, allow me to qualify that previous statement: the light can of course grow more intense without darkness but it's surely the case that the light works against the darkness enveloping it. After all what would the purpose of lightness be without darkness; that point would be the final liberation. No, this year has been bad and next year will be worse, but these things are of course to some extent arbitrary. What I mean by this is that we really don't have to use this calendar to record time, the Gregorian Calendar. Indeed, time is also continuous and there really can't be any holes in time. I guess you could say that the fundamental mathematical theorem of completeness should apply here? Indeed, the creator doesn't make any exceptions and there are no holes in our timeline where conditions are temporarily different or where there's merely a dark void, not that the void would be dark either. I know that my statements here today don't make much sense, but I do believe that it's important to actually challenge all of these material conceptions of the world such as time. Time makes sense only if you are a mortal and material being. But indeed, for men that stand outside of time there is no rush and for these men the cyclical nature of the world prompts them to seek more knowledge when times are challenging, such as the case in the 2020's. But it would be futile to only focus on this short moment in history: the Kali Yuga has been a process of continual but gradual decline but we're now reaching a junction were man's material conceptions of the world are about to live a life of their own, something you may read more about in my "Future series". No, there's no reason to act like the proponents of the humanist axiom and celebrate the supposed "progress" of our times, but I do want to add this note: surely the material order has this to boast about, there are fewer people than ever before, at least with this large global population, that are suffering from adverse material circumstances. But this fact should be understood in its proper context: yes, there are fewer people suffering from an artificially imposed world of suffering and hunger, but people are very much suffering; they're suffering spiritually and really from the overload that they experience both metaphysically and physically, read fatness. Yes, it's remarkable that the people with the least in terms of social status and with the worst material prospects are also the most well nourished. This is again a sign of our times, and these things will only grow worse. Let fat people be the sign of the beastly horde and the diseased world we really live in. Yes, we're living in remarkable times, but we're still not at the peak of the Kali Yuga, and I cannot provide any real predictions for when that time will arrive, but we are surely approaching the summit. I do not intend to provide any commentary on the specifics of 2025 because that would again just be too futile and really just something people who focus on our material order would engage in: all things considered 2025 isn't very different from 2024 or even 1925, but as you glance through the centuries you do notice this tendency; the world was less corrupt and less diseased a century ago, but yes this can be harder to sense if you only go back a mere decade, but I do feel confident still in asserting that this tendency is strictly increasing and if not this tendency is at the very least non-decreasing.
I don't have any plans specific to the year 2026, but I do not intend to change my ways; I intend to allow the divine providence of the creator to keep guiding me in 2026 and I intend therefore to keep up the drumbeat, and I may even consider increasing the drumbeat. I don't regard myself has having a mission because I don't much subscribe to modern notions such as puritanism and individualism, but I do believe that yes I am one part of the creators divine providence and to that extent I believe that my blog is serve to help balancing the scales of the celestial order. I don't claim to speak on behalf of God and I am weary and suspicious of anyone who does, but I do believe that to some extent God is working through this blog page, and really through me. Of course, you could criticize me for relying on this material infrastructure to get this message across, but this would most certainly be an ugly misunderstanding of what I've written: never have I proclaimed that you can't or shouldn't engage with the material world, unless you seek to retire from it completely. Yes, I use and rely on the material world, and there's nothing wrong with this, because I rely skillfully on the material world and this is again to achieve the Buddhist concept of the Bodhicitta. Verily, there's a difference between people embracing the beastly form and people skillfully navigating the material order. I have also at no point claimed to be infallible and when I have been wrong I have admitted this, because again I am not an individual seeking to promote my vanity; I am seeking to restore the scales of the celestial order.
Yes, while 2025 has been a bad year this was to be expected, just as 2026 will be a bad year, but not because of anything that happened or can be specifically isolated to those years but again because of the overall cyclical era we're living under – the Kali Yuga.
