The Census

Image
Hindu Goddess: Shri Karni Mata ( करणी माता ) The Census | Wednesday – April 1, 2026 T he Census or population registration is another modern practice that came about in the inception of the nation-state , and really even at the time of Napoleon no such thing was possible, but at that time the first moves in this direction were made, and the world has never been alike since. Today of course, it is common place for governments to record the population within its borders and then tie each individual to a national identification, a social security number, or some other means of quantification ; the assumption here is of course that each individual should largely remain fixed in place, truly in a sedentary and settled life. Of course, for most of history one could talk about two kinds of people: nomads and farmers; the nomads were wandering and borderless people and they were guided by the ways and knowledge of the step ; farmers on the other hand were less nomadic, though never as fixed as...

Leadership

Image
Shakyamuni Buddha ( शाक्यमुनि ) Leadership | Tuesday – March 31, 2026 L eadership is something that is quite lacking here in the modern world, and this shows. What leaders can be spoken of today? Well, if by leader you are merely thinking about temporal power , then you are thinking in the right way, but your conception of leadership is lacking. When we are considering the subject of leadership we have to understand the certain division or bifurcation between raw power and legitimate power . Sure, there are plenty of people holding raw power today, but few, if any, are actually holding legitimate power, and I believe the major problem or mistake being committed by many here is the assumption that leadership begets power, or even the other way around, that power begets leadership. First of all, there is no such thing as power without authority, but authority and power are not the same thing nor are they in any way equivalent; power is derived from authority, that is to say from essence...

"Creationism"

Image
The Nuremberg Chronicle "Creationism" | Monday – March 30, 2026 C reationism, as the moderns refer to ancient wisdom and true knowledge , appears to be on the "agenda" again, and as usual only for the purpose of public ridicule, and of course in the name of open and free "inquiry". Now, I will not pretend to be able in this regard, and what I mean by that is that i will not attempt to entertain the many absurd and preposterous non-claims made by the naturalists when it comes to the nature of reality, because these people are essentially driven by a kind of hate for truth itself, and their only basis for positivism is actually not something positive at all, and while I can agree that there should be no obligation to "prove" anything in the negative, I should add that most people are simply not qualified , and because most people are ignorant they simply fall outside the range or purview of true knowledge and intellectuality, and if this is a proo...

Social Breakdown

Image
Depiction of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent ( محتشم سلیمان ) Social Breakdown | Sunday – March 29, 2026 O 'er the past couple of centuries, the world has experienced profound disruption; truly the world is going through the most transformative period in recorded history. Although it should be added that the world has passed through many similar phases in the deep past or the "weird" ranges of history not considered "real" by the profane scholars. This means that indeed, modern humans are strange, and not only a little bit strange but very strange. I gather that even most persons of an almost wholly profane and sensible modality would agree with this point, as they do typically consider themselves exceptional and quite ingenious. Sure, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the profound changes and disruptions that these latest episodes in humanity have brought forth, and I have written about this in the past , but there is a certain misunderstanding going o...

Personal Note XLII

Yahweh in  (יהוה‎) : Moses and the Burning Bush Stress! Saturday – March 28, 2026 S tress indeed... Well, I tend to be stressed sometimes, and this is perhaps not so weird considering the state of the world, but it should be understood that this "state of the world" is no accident . The material saying goes something like this: "If you want cash you're gonna need to go out and get it". How poignant of a sign of our times and of the prevailing winds of the cosmological environment. But indeed, "cash is king" and in order for you to get it, you are going to need to be active. Since when did the contemplative modality serve you any good, in the material domain that is? Never, and such a modality would almost never be "awarded" or valued, valued in the crudest and most material sense", and if such a modality were to be "valued" it would only be to the extent that it could sustain the purse, and this is why there has been an explosi...

Should You Forgive?

Image
Tanjore Glass painting of Raja Sarabhoji ( शरभोजी राजे भोसले, दुसरे ) Should You Forgive? Friday – March 27, 2026 F orgiveness is often a somewhat contested subject among the believers, especially among the followers of Christ. Of course, in the purview of metaphysics there is no one path, so to speak, but I would suggest that whatever tradition you belong to, that you allow this to guide you. The matter of how to interpret the Bible will not be considered in this post, as I would be wholly unqualified for such a task. I will however, mention the theological circumstance of the old testament, specifically Exodus 21:24, and the new testament, specifically Matthew 5:39, appearing to advise two different modalities, the old testament emphasizing as it typically does action, and the new testament emphasizing as it typically dies contemplation. It would, I am sure, be relevant to put both of these verses into their proper theological and historical context: the fact is that there is much e...

Observations About the World, Part Twenty-Six

Image
Photograph of the Atlas globe Observations about Obesity | Thursday – March 26, 2026 O besity is perhaps the most indicative tragedy of the modern world, a true monstrosity. But why is this the case, why obesity? Well try to read some of my earlier texts about this subject before you go on with this post, as they provide crucial information. Here is a link to all my posts containing the word "fat".     Of course, it would be all too easy perhaps, to assume that there is some kind of addiction , really some kind of demon , behind the ever growing rate of obesity, particularly in the so-called "developed" world , and yes this would surely be a part of the problem, but you see it would be just as well to suggest that ideological indoctrination plays an even greater part, because after all the issue is not one of mere individualism; obesity is at this point a global and systemic, as certain particularly and conspicuously hip persons would refer to it , problem and rea...

Ideological Indoctrination

Image
Hindu-Tamil ( ॐ ) depiction of Mariamman ( மாரியம்மன் ) Political Indoctrination | Wednesday – March 25, 2026 P olitical Indoctrination is a prerequisite in everything that requires the active engagement of the masses, and while this applies in particular to democracy , you would surely be hard pressed to find any other kind of engagement outside the officially established democracies, and this is perhaps best understood by the fact that most regimes around the world that clearly do not qualify as democracies still rely on that label or pretense, and whatever the case it is clearer still that such regimes while not being democratic in the formal sense still relies heavily upon the movement in on or the other direction of the masses . Indeed, it is even more clear that this kind of "zero sum" mentality is an inherent feature of democracy: either you are with me or you are against men, and surely most people cannot be against democracy? But political indoctrination requires muc...

Notes on Self-Defense – freestyle

Image
King Shō Shin ( 尚真 ) Notes on Self-Defense | Tuesday – March 24, 2026 H ave I caused offense with all of my previous posts about the fragility of so-called men? Buh-huh-huh... Cry me a river. Cry me a river. The fact is that there can be no such thing as a man that is unable to defend himself; a man without lethality is an impossibility, there can be no such creature. Of course, lethality cannot be separated from self-defense, but this does not mean that the primary goal of self-defense should be a lethal outcome, but it does mean that self-defense contains within it, as a principle, the possibility of lethality, and indeed I do not believe that lethality in and of itself is a bad thing, because it would serve the cosmological order right to eliminate disturbances , and this is of course the other side of the metaphysics of crime . All of this should be obvious, but I gather that there are some persons that still fail to understand this, especially if they insist upon being "offen...

Clarifying Statements about Men

Image
The Woman's Land Army of America Clarifying Statements about Men | Monday – March 23, 2026 B ecause of past statements on this page, I felt, again, a strong need to clarify a couple of things regarding the metaphysical status of men. To me, it is rather clear that men are depressing and sad creatures, but this did not always used to be the case; the sad and depressing modern man is just that, a feature of modernity. Women on the other hand do not appear to be sad at all, and in fact I would advise, and I will advise, people who consider children to strongly avoid putting a son to the world. I am not a proponent of abortion under most circumstances, but there is an argument to be had in this connection: surely it would be proper to abort a fetus if there is no life to be expected out of that fetus, and besides there are no strong doctrines outside the Catholic church opposing abortions. I still do not view abortions as a good thing, but then again arguing about whether something i...
