My views on the hubris of modern man – June 25, 2025

Materialism and man's ever more creative ways of reconstituting and re-configuring the material in both the body and spirit has enabled man to create more of the good in the material for himself and his prodigy, but none of this has served to humble modern man, instead it has served as justification for the liberal and degenerate ways of modern man, indeed it has paved the way for the transformation of man into the beast – this has had dire consequences for man's ability to ascend the material and enter the transcendental plane. Modern man is not driven by the light—he is not seeking the transcendental, he is driven by short term gain and the hedonistic pleasure of the invisible man atop of the world, the victorious man of the reasoned mind—for modern man is seeking the material as a substitute for the profound insight that he is lacking, but the material is never enough and it always has to be reconstituted in such a way so that it may suit modern man's every whim in any given moment, for such are the ways of the beast – unpredictable and unstable as the quality of life slowly atrophies. The victory that modern man claims is not that of morality or of the sacred way, no, modern man's victory can only be described as that of the willing chaos, the material above all else, and the drive of the lust and the sin that always seeks out the material, for the boundaries of the moral domain will always impede on the beasts lust for more and more components and sub-components that can be conscripted into this machine of perpetual degeneracy that is the modern world. The cycle of consumption, decay, and death cannot end, not as long as the reign of quantities remains supreme above all else here on Earth – the Kali Yuga.
What the great ancestral traditions of sacred and profound insight have thought man is to always remain humble, for there will always be some corner of this world unexplored and unknown to the ranks of all men, even the most moral, upright, and learned among us, but this insight has been almost completely lost in the modern world, for modern man believes himself and his ability to probe and explore the material to be so superior that any other insight has been labeled fantastical, while modern man in the same breath points to his own seeming inability to hold the material together, and for this his only prescription is more of the same – the material for the sake of the material, while thinking that this is a great achievement. When in the past, men would humble themselves in front of the amazing grace of the creation and stand in awe of the mystical and unknown nature of this enterprise, modern men stand in disgust and ill will towards the creation, because for modern men, the creation is only the material world not yet reconstituted to his liking, and thus it impedes modern men's ability to justify their own transformation into the beast – nature has to give way to the industrial and the gigantic of the reasoned man so that he may live for ever shorter pleasures. To live in the moment for short term pleasures is the sign of our times, and it will only get worse as we approach the close of the Kali Yuga. Verily, the world will be turned upside down in this quest for short term pleasure and "to live in the moment", while each moment flees away.

Hubris and rude confidence stems not from modern man'
s harmony with other men and the celestial order; it stems rather from modern man's inability to ascend to the higher mode by transcending the material, for his raison d'être is the material – to live solely for the preservation of the material in the moment and to seek the betterment not of himself, but of his circumstances, for that is the only reason for being in the modern world. Idolatry is the overriding principle in the modern world, and all other ideas are derived from this state of being, including liberalism, which is really only the justification of man's self-idolatry and hubris – for liberalism is only concerned with the image of man in the moment, as opposed to the image of man as an integral part of the fabric of society, history, and time. In transforming into the beast, modern man has severed all connections not only to the sacred, but to his past as well – liberalism has liberated man from his shackles, thus modern man has no history, he is not a part of anything other than his own will, driven by his own lust for better material circumstances – the free of the beastly character. Quality requires discipline and the decent respect for the sacred only seen in the distant past, and in the absence of transcendence quality atrophies and man becomes ever more erratic in his self belief and idolatry, and the hubris of the Kali Yuga makes itself ever more apparent as quality becomes know only to fewer and fewer men, the surly noble men. Always be aware of your times and understand the Kali Yuga, find the hidden truth beneath the veils of the modern world, for the source was always there. Embrace purity and the wisdom of the nobleman – reject the material world all together and enter onto the transcendental plane.
