Life in the city |

One of the greatest aberrations in the modern world is the city, especially large cities. Indeed, for most of human history man lived close to nature and this closeness to the creation also provided comfort, wisdom, and insight, all of which have been weakened or replaced in the modern world. To live in a city surrounded by strangers is one of the most unnatural things a man can possibly do, and this unnatural lifestyle is evident in how men that live in big cities—away from the closeness to the Earth on the countryside or really in nature—act because these modern and cosmopolitan men are crude and very hard in their hearts, because they lack the closeness to the creation, to the community, and to humanity. What happens when you live in a big city is that the human infrastructure and the materialistic phase and rhythm replaces the natural flow of the creation and as a result you become completely corrupted and really you start to take on the form more and more of the beast. Yes, people who live in big cities are beasts. Well, not everyone but the majority. Life is hard, but life in the city is harder on your conscience and really what you're asked to do in a big city is to throw out any humanity you have and become a beast. I believe that there are certain upsides to cities, but those upsides are all material in nature and if you believe that materialism is more important than the good qualities of life, then you have already taken on the beastly form. I also believe that cities are damaging to your mental health because you are not able to live a good or natural life in a city. Again, ask yourself this, would most of your ancestors be able to handle the stress of being exposed to strangers all the time? No, and in fact your ancestors likely only knew about at most 150 people and many of them likely didn't meet or see other people their entire lives, but of course life in those times was much less stressful and I also believe that people could connect to life better. I believe that cities depend on runaway individualism and this has created conditions that impose insanity and mental illness on the population. I believe that mental health issues are "on the rise" and I believe that this is very much likely due to the fact that people are being bombarded by information all the time. Yes, your senses are constantly being stimulated in the city and the internet. Consider commercials: do you watch them? Likely not, but you're constantly being exposed to this not so subtle form of propaganda. Indeed, you've likely heard the voice of a stranger telling you to buy some product more than you've heard the voice of your mother or your father or indeed any close relative. How is this natural? Well, it's not natural; it's the definition of unnatural and it exists for a reason: it exists to manufacture your consent to be ruled. This is essentially what happens when you take on the beastly form: you are constantly overwhelmed, which eventually makes you emotionally and really more to the point morally inoculated. Yes, this process, it's process, of slowly tearing you down and depleting you of vigor and strength; it's really a process making you more and more nihilistic and more and more diseased. Why are you not reacting and why are you not feeling outrage at injustice? Well, because you have been conditioned to accept injustice and yes, it does surely take effort to become liberal, indeed, and everything natural about you and that used to make you human when you were a child has really been taken away from you because those qualities would make you a bad person. Indeed, the worst thing to be labeled in the modern world is a bad person, not a murderer, not a rapist, and not a violent criminal, but a bad person, a person that doesn't comply with the totalitarianism of the humanist axiom. Yes, this all takes effort and it's happening all around you everyday and every second, but this is a sign of our times and I am of the position that it is better to allow it to happen. Embrace the pacific route and Radical Peace, because this way will be the path of least resistance. Do not anchor yourself in the material world; that would be the greatest mistake.
I do not believe that a man that seeks the light should live in a city, but I do also recognize the material implications that moving away from the city would entail for most men seeking the light. I believe that your most important goal should always be to walk towards the light, and if you are unable to move away from the city then so be it, but don't complain when you keep taking on the beastly form. Yes, I understand that you may be forced to take on the beastly form in an act of self-defense and self-preservation, but those are really the only legitimate grounds on which you should do this, in my opinion.
I once lived in a city when I was in the world, and I believe my first step towards enlightenment was to move away from the city, that cosmopolitan cesspool of modernity.
