My views on immigration |
Tuesday – November 4, 2025

These days the issue of immigration seems salient and that's mostly due to the capitalist production base and the "welfareism" of most western democracies: you see these economies are constructed in such a way that they always need more and more people and if there would come a time when there is a labor and consumer shortage, the whole thing starts to depress and eventually comes crashing down. Of course, in decades past immigration levels where far smaller and most immigrants didn't come from very distant places, but due to the rapid globalization of the economy and the changing attitudes towards foreigners under the belief in multiculturalism, but do understand that the issue of immigration has many dimensions and actually I must admit that immigration strikes me as a rather complicated issue. Of course, it is true that human beings have been traveling around the world since the dawn of man and that practically no region on the planet has been completely protected and sealed off from immigration, but in keeping with the modern world, or rather in keeping with the tendencies towards more and more quantities in the modern world, immigration levels have increased to levels far beyond previous levels. But one must also note the nation-state in this context as well. Due to the imposition of nation-states immigration has invariably become an issue in a way it could not have been in the past when communities where far smaller and parochial in nature and if the elders of that community didn't want a foreigner among the people, they would simply kick him out beyond the city gates or into the woods. Of course, with the imposition of international borders and the state the potential damage one immigrant can do is far greater than in the past, and of course in the past the word immigrant would make no sense; only the word migrant would make sense in the pre-industrial and pre-nationalist past. With further impositions by the state on the people such as welfareism and such, it simply becomes impossible for most states to not control their borders which has ironically lead to a vast reduction in overall freedom for most men, but this also has to be considered in light of the fact that most men in the distant past simply couldn't just get up and leave. My view is that large scale immigration will be and has been detrimental to any society that has been profoundly changed by it, especially in a rapid and short amount of time and I believe that it's likely that Europe and parts of Asia and North America are destined to be swamped by immigrants, and I also believe that these immigrants will likely create potential civil uproar as well and I believe that it could very well be the case that immigration will be the biggest issue in dooming the European project, in that sense I refer to the European Union. It is simply the case that most people do not like the large scale influx of foreigners in what they perceive to be their community. I do need to add that I don't have anything principally against migrants, but I do also recognize the modern context in which I live and the fact is that immigration will not save the old imperial core from the inevitable, and in fact it could be the case that immigration will accelerate the process of decline and degeneration. This is why I believe that there is a chance that Islam will simply conquer Europe, but that will also take some considerable time. I am actually in favor Islam conquering Europe, as I recognize this as a better fate for the European continent than its current and rapidly devolving trajectory. Then there are of course many forces in favor and against large scale immigration flows: you have the chamber of commerce they favor open borders because this will give them access to what practically would amount to and unlimited labor pool; and then there are different organizations that claim that people have a right to be "protected" by a third state from another state, often in a war/conflict that the third state is not involved in. Of course, these two organizations lobby for different forms of immigration: the chamber of commerce wants labor related immigration and those humanitarian organizations tend to favor asylum seekers/refugees. There is also the circumstance that most systems that are meant to ensure the pensions of the elderly members of society rely on more young people. In short: I foresee continued large scale immigration levels into most western societies since most people in charge have no real incentive to reduce immigration levels and also since most people operate under the assumption of political and social individualization of each man which basically reduces the citizen to the same level as the foreigner which in turn will basically play out the role of the citizenship in the future and really the whole reason for the nation-state, something I have covered in the past.
In the end I view large scale immigration levels as a natural part of the materialist order and I believe that the more technologically advanced a country becomes the more abstract the people of that country relate to the country and consequently immigration levels will grow out of proportion; this is simply a necessary consequence of capitalism, immigration levels have to keep growing and keep increasing. Wealth and value has to keep being created and that can't happen in a country where the population usually is stagnating and even decreasing and this will profoundly change the ethnic landscape of the world: it could be that there will for instance be no more majority white countries outside maybe Iceland and perhaps Finland. If you are against immigration and want immigration levels to decrease and even immigrants to leave, then your best bet would be to crash the economy and really aim for a deflationary spiral. But in the era of the Kali Yuga, multiculturalism and large scale global immigration should be expected. I remain essentially neutral in terms of the changing ethnic landscape of the world but I note that large scale immigration will not enable more diversity, it will simply impose the majority of the world on the minority of the world which in the end will decrease diversity.
