"Smart" technology

In my latest post about cameras I made the argument that women are more susceptible to the eye of the camera and that this vulnerability is used by corporations and states to spy on them and their male partners, and indeed this is true. But beyond cameras alone there has been a rise of so-called smart technology over the past 20 years, and yes these things do appear to be smart, but upon further exploration it becomes clear that they are smart not for the material benefit of the user but for the material gain of the creator. See, these so-called smart phones, iPhones, iSmarts, etc are used to spy on you and this is so evident that nobody is even attempting to deny this anymore, see my post about the European Union proposed Chat Control measure. Any man that thinks of himself highly should ask why he is allowing this to happen: why am I allowing the state and major corporations to spy on me? Well, you are likely lazy and you are likely slow walking towards the beastly condition, and as a result you don't care, and this is also a consequence of the noise: there are simply too many things for you to keep track of in this modern world. Any man with vigor and strength would simply throw these devices out and really he would never ever contemplate buying them. But yes, you belong to the populist horde and you fail repeatedly and continually to think for yourself; you are just following the herd. Is this a proper way to live? No, but I have covered this in another post and explaining the proper way to live is outside the scope of this post. Yes you say: but these devices that I know are spying on me are also good in some other ways, and besides I am addicted to the internet and I am addicted to these screens constantly giving me useless information about the world and about aspects of the material domain that in no way relates to my life. Indeed, you are addicted and that was the entire point, but instead of taking action you want to rely, lazy as you are, on the government to intervene on your behalf to protect you from yourself. This is a very sorry and pathetic state to be in. I guess some people have, and will continue to make the argument that you should trust the technology and that you should trust the serpent, for he knows better; in fact the serpent doesn't only know the world better, he knows you better than you know yourself. No man in the past lived this way because life in the material domain did not allow for this kind of depravity and this kind of diseased and depraved mindset, and just as well. I want to add as well, something that I lightly covered in my post on the Camera obscura, that if you have ever appeared on a photograph that you must understand that this photograph is only a material representation of you and this is true as well for your "smart" technological devices: indeed, your phone is a representation of you in every material sense, yet this material reflection of yourself is not you and you know this, unless you have completely embraced the beastly form—unless you've embraced the willing chaos. I think the best way of approaching the material world is this: you owe the material order nothing and you owe time nothing, something I also briefly covered the other day, but as long as you keep interacting with the world as if you owe it something you will never exist outside of time; you will never exist in full harmony with the creation.

    What then are you supposed to do about this? Well, the answer is actually fairly simple: you should throw out your so-called "smart" technological devices and you should revert to interacting with the world in the ways of ancient wisdom, in the ways shaped by deep time. Yes, the modern world is always changing, this appears to be the only constant, but nothing other than the fact that you allow yourself to be governed by the beast is making your world change; is making you change. Why are you rearguard and "stuck in the times of days gone by"? Well, not because of your actions, but because of your inaction, because you are negatively authentic, and because the modern world cannot tolerate authenticity and the profound insight. Yes, it will be hard for you to continue to live and interact in the material domain without also being totally immersed in "smart" technology, but this will also open the door for you to essentially leave the material domain behind and to really retire from the world. Of course, the upside for you, as long as you live in the material domain, is that you will not need to worry too long, because you are adapted to change, especially coming down from the roller coaster that is the modern world. You'll adapt to a life without "smart" technology and this will eventually prompt you to make one of two possible decisions: either you'll revert back to the deprived ways of the beast or you'll eventually learn to know the light. In the end, only you can make that decision, but I believe that removing all aspects of the material domain that keeps you unfocused will help you along the way and if your present material circumstances depend on you having continual access to "smart" technology, then you know what decision you have to make.

    No, it is not good or healthy to be governed by the serpent, and indeed if you aren't lost you'll know this insensitivity. Sometimes the light shines brightest on the darkest horizon.
