My views on the call to adventure – July 11, 2025
In the pursuit of the sacred, the holy, and the transcendent, man has to venture out into the world to seek the truth, for he has within the fundamentally masculine drive to discover another part of the world, another part of the creation; he has the duty to answer the call to adventure in order to gain his rank as a man among other men – he is the pilot of his own destiny within the material domain. This has placed upon him the awesome responsibility of taking the first step towards becoming the being at one with the all – to transform into the hero. Verily, the hero is the man of noble rank, for he is the man above the material and in full harmony with nature and the forces of the celestial order; he works towards the betterment of himself in others and thus the special relationship between him and the fundamentally good, the moral. Of course, the first steps towards the source, towards the transcendent, have to be seen in the light of the prototypes, the child's, worship of the good in men, for the call to adventure is to the prototype, the novice, the prerequisite for co-equal status among his peers, and indeed this is the first stage of any prototypes rite of passage in discovering his own heroism in some part of the creation—it is the ceremonial killing of his, the prototypes, father. The ceremonial murder of the primordial father is the close of the prototype and the start of man at one with the elements in the material domain, it is what makes the perpetual motion of man his highest and most earnest quality – it is the fundamentally masculine quality. To venture outside and to meet the creation humbles man to the amazing grace of the all, inside himself, and makes him lose any lust for the sinful and the evil, it produces within man the rejection of materialism and sin — it kills the hubris of the prototype. The adventure and the contact with nature and deep time shapes man, it makes him hard and full of contradictions, but man's internal contradiction, the quality of inequality, is answered with growing wisdom.
In the modern world, the world of destruction and decay, man has been rendered by his own hubris and belief in the extra material the formless man, the man of the beast, and this has been further encouraged by his complete lack of knowledge, the willing chaos, of the sacred, for in modern times, man believes himself to be superior and above the orderly – modern man has decreed his own destiny and thus he has no need for the righteous path. To walk with the creator and to receive the blessings of the heavens and to be released from sin and the lust for sin, has turned into the leitmotif of the modern world, the call for liberation, liberation from the condition of man. It would have been more fitting for the beast of the modern man to throw himself out of the Earth, and this has surely been attempted in modern man's attempt to seek out the stars, but man, weather he likes it or not, is bound to the Earth and the Earth is bound to the celestial order and so is man in turn – to seek out the solar system would appear to be the most advanced form of hubris and insanity in this context.

Hindu Goddess Durga (दुर्गा) in the form of Kali (काली) |
You have been deprive of your manhood, for you have been denied the rite of passage in the modern world, and if you were to attempt to seek out the adventure you would be punished—particularity as a citizen of the global order, the cosmopolitan cesspool of the imperial core—and made into the criminal, not for any real crime, but for the imagined crime of rebellion against the moral order. What is moral about the Kali Yuga, when the morality of the world is in a state of late decomposition? Nothing, nothing I say! You need to resist, but resist only on the spiritual plane, for any attempts to win in the material over the beast is doomed for failure; the era of the Kali Yuga is not yet over. Continue to embrace purity and celibacy – become the better man.
