Observations about the world, part fourteen

Photograph of the Atlas globe Modern beauty | Sunday – December 14, 2025 In my post on the topic of beauty , I made it clear that most modern forms and varieties of beauty represent a corrupted and really diseased form of beauty: I like to think of modern beauty as a form of pleasurable hatred at the destruction of the world. What I mean by this is that modern men celebrate the destruction of true beauty and extol the imposition of corruption, and I do believe that corruption is a good way of seeing ugliness in the world. Why do modern men value anti-beauty? Well, before I answer this question I'd like to further refine my definition of beauty: beauty is fundamentally effortless; beauty does not require further intervention or input, and if something requires a vast overhaul then you are not dealing with beauty. Indeed, most modern beauty ideals are really constructed around something artificial. What makes a woman beautiful in the year of our lord 2025? All sorts of products that ...

Yahweh in  (יהוה‎) : Moses and the Burning Bush Why meditation is important | Saturday – December 13, 2025 Meditation serves at least a couple of purposes, something I have briefly covered in the past , but I hold that the most important purpose of meditation is to gain insight, inward insight and really this can help you to gain awareness about yourself. When you gain awareness about yourself you can start the often tedious work to repair yourself and your own relation to the rest of the world, and this could include gaining more insight into problems that you face in your daily life. I believe that the most powerful aspect of meditation is its ability to help you understand your thoughts, that stream of input almost attacking your consciousness everyday, and this in turn can help you to gain more autonomy and really help you to get a grip on your life so that you can liberate yourself enough to enable yourself to carve out your own destiny. What is stress? Well, in my view stress...

Essential spirituality

Image
Korean Minhwa ( 민화 ) featuring a serpent Essential Spirituality | Friday – December 12, 2025 In our world, the modern world, men have been taught to deal with the world in "objective" and " rational " terms, because what matters most at the end of the day is the quantity of material artifacts and numbers, and if the numbers tell you one thing you have to follow the numbers or else you are crazy. Yes, the modern world is catered to the production of quantities and the reduction of quality: have you ever noticed that your overall quality of life seems to never really intercept your expectations? Well, this is by design: the material world is constituted in this manner in order to keep you away from the light and the source; this thin layer called civilization is all you live for, yet you never seem to understand that you've been placed inside a prison. Indeed, for most of human history, as I briefly covered the other day , spirituality was commonplace, because men...

Ancient wisdom

Image
Photograph of Idol of Devi Kali at the Kalighat ( কালীঘাট ) Temple Ancient wisdom | Thursday – December 11, 2025 In modern times it has become commonplace for crucial information about the world, primarily material but also metaphysical, to be compartmentalized and concentrated in the object of the expert : this includes everything from how to walk a dog to how to create a nuclear reactor, and more often than not these people, these experts, are accredited by some major and "trusted" institution backed up by the revolutionary elite. This approach to information really showcases how most things are carried out in modern times: everything has to play a certain and defined role in order for it to have any place or claim to the fundamental institutions of society . Of course, this serves certain roles, but the primary purpose of this kind of compartmentalization of information into certain expertise and really certain roles serves the primary purpose of replacing God. Since moder...

Pax Europa

Image
Eu flag, by Christian Wiediger Pax Europa | Wednesday – December 10, 2025 In my posts about the ongoing war in Ukraine, that you can read here and here , I made it clear that I see no way forward for a continued war in Ukraine, at least no way forward that can be described as sustainable, and this is true for both Ukraine and Russia, and this fact means that in soon enough time some kind of peace will be reached, or at least some kind of ceasefire will be reached, because it's clear that Russia is losing too many men in this war, but it's also clear that whatever leverage Ukraine may or may not have in this situation, it's not that much. Yes, I know that some observers will point to the fact that the Ukrainian army, for a brief time, occupied some border regions within Russia, but since these regions hardly contain anything of value, I don't believe that you can call these gains any kind of real leverage, at least not in the long run. Yes, it may be that the Ukrainians...

Yahweh in  (יהוה‎) : Moses and the Burning Bush My views on western intervention | Tuesday – December 9, 2025 Most people don't like to be invaded, and I think the most poignant example of this fact was when a young Taliban man was asked why he'd joined the Taliban in the first place, this was during the invasion and occupation of most of Afghanistan by the United States: he basically said that he'd joined the Taliban because they, the U.S. Army, had invaded his valley. Indeed, what wouldn't some men do in that situation and do we really expect this to be a weird or strange reaction to an invasion? And what about this nation-building exercise? What nation is there to talk about in Afghanistan? Was this young warrior loyal to the Afghan nation? No, he was loyal to his valley and to his immediate people, he didn't have a conception of a larger Afghan nation, and why would he? Should we expect otherwise? No, of course not, and this all just goes to show how silly and...

How to disconnect from the internet

Image
Optical fibers colored lamp By Umberto How to disconnect from the internet | Monday – December 8, 2025 In our modern world the internet has captivated every audience, and while there are clear and good upsides to the internet, do not allow yourself to fall for the great lie. Yes, the internet can provide a lot of important information, especially to dissidents, but the internet is also a source of great emotional distress and really a promoted of stress, depression, oppression, and repression: there's a lot of these things going on online, and in modern times people are more aware of the world than ever before, well people are more aware of the material domain and their own material constraints than ever before. All of these noises creates within man a sense of urgency, it puts him in a constant flight or fight mode, and this really starts to break down his character, because he becomes disassociated with the immediate world around him, the simple life and the small life. Indeed,...

Yahweh in  (יהוה‎) : Moses and the Burning Bush Why I don't like democracy | Sunday – December 7, 2025 Sir. Winston Churchill used to say: "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the other ones". Yes, to the extent that you seek to maximize immediate and personal freedom in relation to materialism, yes democracy is probably the best form of governance. But I am not here to argue against democracy, because I don't believe in or support other forms of government either. Yes, I have made the case for aristocracy , and feudalism , but I never made the case for those forms of government, and that largely has to do with how most modern men interact with the concept of government: I don't make the case for a government, more than I make the case for the sky being blue. No, I made the case for better and righteous social orders, but I've never made the case for the modern conceptualization of the government, because quite frankly I don't believe...

Observations about the world, part thirteen

Image
Photograph of the Atlas globe Why do young women like cameras? Saturday – December 6, 2025 Why yes, why do young women like, even love, cameras so much? Well, as I briefly noted in my post on the Camera obscura , young people, especially young women are obsessed with attention, and this is not because they are naturally more interested in attention so much as it has been taught to them by society since they were small. Indeed, there are studies that suggest that young women in particular would favor a society of surveillance, and this is again mostly due to the fact that young women are constantly running around and taking pictures of themselves, and this means that young women more so than anyone, with the exception maybe of some homosexuals , have been inoculated to the pressure from the camera, and this even means in certain cases, certain perhaps extreme cases, that young women have developed a kind of Stockholm syndrome relationship to the camera and just surveillance in particula...

Why I support aristocracy

Image
Dark Blue, by Pawel Czerwinski Why I support aristocracy | Friday – December 5, 2025 Throughout the history of civilized society, aristocracy, or really the hierarchical order , has been the commonplace, and it wasn't until the advent of bourgeois nationalism and liberalism that such things as human rights became salient; indeed, these ideas took the world with a storm. But it is important to keep in mind that no society has ever worked, including the liberal societies within the imperial core , without a ruling class; of course in the liberal land that ruling class consists of a warmongering and violent revolutionary elite that have divorced power from the just and the noble. It's not that aristocracy is good, so much as it is an inevitability of the human condition: life is hard and within the material domain man seeks stability. Indeed, without stability life would become very difficult and very much an impossible enterprise. This is why man entered into society or create...

Observations about the world, part twelve

Photograph of the Atlas globe What about all the noise? Thursday – December 4, 2025 Yes, the world's full of noise and most of it is just that, noise. It's hard for most people to not get deeply and adversely affected by all this noise, and that's by design. Since you, as a modern human, have lost most of your agency and willpower, it's likely the case that you find yourself stressed out and even paralyzed by a propagandist noise filled informational landscape. If you're going to allow the noise to define the world, then yes you are also going to be ruled by noise, and that's perfect, because as long as you are ruled by noise, the revolutionary elite can continue to control you. Yes, life is hard and you seek out information in order to better help yourself, and I understand that, but most information relies on you being weak, or really most information relies on you being hysterical and in a constant or continual and chronic state of stress. Of course, in the p...

Why I'm not conservative

Image
Photograph of a Crucifix at sunset By Aaron Burden Why I'm not a conservative | Wednesday – December 3, 2025 As I stated in my post from September 3 , about the subject of conservatism, with a small c that is: " ...I think it's quite appropriate on one hand to think of conservatism as a perpetually losing position  ... ", and by that I mean that if you seek to uphold and defend the status quo, the contemporary social order, you are never going to win, because the world keeps changing around you and around your society , which then forces society in the end to change, and this is mostly due to the fact that we live in a world that stands on material underpinnings : society keeps transforming into something new all the time. I think that the caricature of the conservative man is the old and bitter man without strength and without vigor, because you see he has aged out of his own past, yet he keeps clinging on to those memories of days gone by: indeed it's not possib...

Yahweh in  (יהוה‎) : Moses and the Burning Bush Why is marriage under attack? Tuesday – December 2, 2025 To begin, there are a great number of very rude and offensive people that may attack this post, and there's really nothing I can do to prevent this. Yes, these modern people are very rude and offensive indeed, but I do believe in allowing these people to show the world why they are bad people and how their ideas are bad and harmful. At the same time I do not blame these people, for they know not better, they are living under many layers of delusion, which is sad, but I have covered this topic in the past . I've also covered the topics of marriage and relationships in the past; I do not intend to cover those topics in this post again.     To be clear, I don't actually believe in marriage: I believe that marriage is a largely modern construction in keeping with the nation-state. I believe that marriage in a lot of ways was a way to replace the old feudal system with a...
