Can Western civilization be restored?

As I've mentioned in my recent post about modern civilization, it's clear that one can surely assert the equation between modernity and the western outlook. This doesn't mean that modernity and its many confusions haven't or can't affect the East; the East is very much being affected today, but it's clear that the origin of this confusion, that is modernity, is very much the West. Before I can proceed to answer the question in the heading I need to just make a couple of observations clear: there are indeed many forces today claiming to work for the restoration of something traditional or even primordial, or may I say normal, in the west, but most, if not all, of these forces tend to make the same mistakes; mistakes that really show that these forces who claim to speak on behalf of the traditional western outlook do no such thing and that they indeed are just as caught up in the commotion of modernity as everyone else. Ultimately, these forces, often of a somewhat conservative nature, will fail precisely because what they are claiming to defend is indeed the very system that has enabled the decline in the first place. Apart from not understanding the daunting task at hand, many forces who proclaim the need for Western tradition lack skillful means, and consequently they either turn into fanatical monsters or appeasing populists, both forms lacking any and all insight into the primordial and ascendant nature of the ancient world.

    If whatever resistance that does exist is false or even counterproductive, what then can be done, if anything? Here I can only present two views: the first being something vaguely possible, and the other my own views. If anything is to be done about the current and dilapidated state of the West, and increasingly the East, the scholars would point to esoteric initiation: that is to say that an elite of very few men in any given society that would be of truly ascendant rank could attempt to influence the powers at hand, and really in the end seek to restore a certain sense of normalcy, which would include a return to a traditional and hierarchical order based on sacred authority. This would not, in my view as well as in the view of most scholars, include an attempt to mobilize mobs of supporters among the ranks of ordinary men. What this approach would entail though, is to slowly reduce the malign influence of the modern nation-state and the many liberal confusions that this contemporary arrangement has unleashed upon the world, yet still so unnatural and abhorrent to history, and this would surely be a slow process, but still an attempt to restore the equilibrium, or the scales of the celestial order without throwing the world into a major cataclysm; to restore normalcy without the ultimate need for destruction. My view on the other hand, is that no attempt to reverse or set the course straight is possible; this may have been possible prior to the formation of the modern nation-state, somewhere between 1324 and 1820, but after about 1820 I believe that the moment or the opening that could've enabled a, at least temporary, rearrangement of conditions came and passed, which essentially means that I believe that only a great cataclysm can restore normalcy and the reign of the ascendant on the Earth, a process that I have described in greater detail in my "Future series". At any rate, I do not expect any possibility for a kind of even temporary restoration of something normal and natural in the West, and indeed it's quite likely that the East will become just as morally and intellectually depraved before the close of this our era of the Kali Yuga – the Dark Age. I do need to clarify that this is by no means a form of metaphysical nihilism: but I see no point in wasting energy on a lost cause. This to me, however, doesn't mean that the West is lost, or that humanity is lost; a major reset doesn't mean that the aspects of the West that still resemble their original or primordial forms will be erased, even though such forms are rare today. But indeed, the loss of Western civilization in a great catastrophe would seem to the brutish sensibilities of western men to be a kind of world ending event, and just as well. But again, this does not entail the end of the world, nor the end of civilization, and again I need to clarify that while destruction itself can be thought of as a force that signifies the divine love for the creation, the form that this force takes on may well be outrageous to the sensibilities of the conscience of all men, such as in the case with the criminal elements that you will be sure to find in any given society.

    This means for me that I choose to distance myself from people who claim to speak on behalf of the cosmological order, for they are false prophets and even if they remain sincere in their convictions, as in the case with a few men seeking to defend the West, they are nonetheless lacking in skills and too frail. Instead these men should embrace the light and seek knowledge and insight.

    Lastly, I want to again clarify what I meant with my statement that many people who claim to defend the traditions of the West are in fact defending the very thing that will bring down their civilization. See, not only are these people lacking in skills, but they are densely reactionary, and this is indeed a very putrid combination, which signifies not only a lack of material insight, but a profound ignorance and lack of respect for the sacred. Ask yourself this: why do these people insist upon the nation, and why do they only in passing mention the nature of sacred hierarchies? And on this point, why do so many of these characters embrace biological and material hierarchy? No, these people are clearly and frankly lacking in both skills and insight, and the result is a very pathetic and pathological monster, really a metaphysical perversion of the warrior, a charlatan and a false prophet. Pray you avoid him!
