Democracy |

In my Personal Note XX about this same topic, I made it clear why I don't like democracy. So if you would like to find out why, then you should read that post.
What is democracy if not an inversion of true and sacred hierarchies, based on the normal and quite universal notion that two distinct entities where one and the other exist in a complementary relationship and where the other is subordinate to the former? Well, this description of democracy is actually false, but not because an attempt hasn't been made to invert sacred hierarchies, but because the notion that is democracy, that is to say the rule by the people and for the people is metaphysically and even materially quite impossible: democracy is really nothing but a negation of the true cosmological order and even the true material order, but the empty platitudes of democracy orated by the leaders of democracies and absorbed by the masses works very well and has surely created the false idea that indeed the masses are somehow in charge. But as I stated, such a notion that people are ruled by themselves and also that this form of governance is somehow the best and most stable are of course false, but there is no need to consider these questions any further, since they are clearly false, at least to anyone willing to just for a short moment open their eyes, and this requires no real initiation; really, to realize the metaphysical contradiction inherent in the concept of democracy, one only has to study history, and even recent history, to understand that there has never existed such an enterprise and there will never exist such an enterprise, at least not for long, without immediate anarchy and social disarray. Indeed, I ask you to think, just for a moment, about the implications of the notion that the people should rule? Really, what this proposition would mean in practice is what certain individuals may refer to as a permanent revolution, or really a permanent state of chaos, for the rule of the masses can only result in the least qualified, the loudest, and the most offensive tendencies within the human condition to flourish, which would be impossible for any extended period of time; yes, the chaos and injury caused by this violent and uncontrollable mob of the least qualified and most lacking in skill would inevitably, in a rather short period of time, destroy itself, and this destruction of the populist horde can be seen at all points in history and understood as a temporary rearrangement in favor of the orderly, and conversely out this mob and confusion rises the revolutionary elite, a false elite that can only be labeled a monstrous bastard and inversion of the true elite, the vanguard of the mob, really the leaders and representatives of the fury of the least qualified, the lowest elements in any given society. It is in the connection to the revolutionary elite that it would be true to label democracy, or really the result of democracy, an inversion of the sacred and hierarchical order, because the contemporary world didn't just appear out of nowhere; the modern world is a product of a process of metaphysical decline, and at every major junction in this process or dilapidation of knowledge, or on the journey towards the bottom, violence and mob rule have marked important turning points, and the latest of such "turning points" being really when the industrial and material age was born, and while it is not possible for me to provide any exact dates of these important turning points in history, it's clear to me that during and after the French Revolution and the fact that this was not merely something contingent that just happened to coincide with the birth of the industrial age, but really that the French Revolution was a necessary turning point in the inception of the greater material order and the culmination of many centuries of metaphysical decline in Europe as the power of the King and state grew in proportion to the Authority of the Church, really the moment when the formation of the first modern and profane nation-state was born and therefore the false and idolatrous authority of the profane and the temporal. Therefore, one can see the growth of democracy or really the material order that this system, or failure of a system, produces as the final mark of a civilization in terminal decline, or really the moments after a civilization has passed a sort of point of no return, and when only the powers of the divine can restore the scales of the celestial order, really the final phase of the Kali Yuga.
Democracy and materialism are really the same thing, but the same thing expressed in different dimensions of material life: really both of these modern metaphysical disorders consist of the same lack of quality and higher order; indeed, democracy and materialism both rely on the power of great numbers, really mob rule or the rule of quantity, which means that both of these modern disorders, or really two expression of the same thing, relies on a continual and ever growing multiplicity and division of the material, something that can only be kept up for so long, before the inherent contradictions of the whole enterprise which is modern civilization implodes in what can only be described as a major cataclysm, and indeed you see these same quantitative tendencies wherever you turn in the modern world: everything is expected to be upheld by and improved by ever greater numbers, which in the face of modern individualism may seem contradictory but is in fact right in line with this tendency towards continual multiplicity and division. In the end, Democracy is not the rule of the masses for the masses, but a prerequisite for the material order to take on its final form, and for the rule of ever greater quantities to set in; really a way to cast the old world into confusion and darkness in order to promote the material at any cost, and indeed in this way once can see how the material has grown its own life with its own apatite independent from that of mere mortal men, a subject that I have covered in greater detail in my "Future series".
Finally, my rejection of democracy has nothing to do with the arena of politics, where you can always be sure to find an assortment of actors playing on your material inclinations, a space that I regard to be the most advanced expression of this aforementioned metaphysical decline, and this is why I choose to refer to politics as a kind of metaphysical warfare, that in the end only serve to help certain individuals in the short run. For me, and I want to make this clear, there is nothing of value to be gained in the arena of politics, and this is perhaps why political discourse tends to highlight and promote the most vulgar and offensive aspects of this inversion of the metaphysical order; really an anti-sacred order, which cannot be a real order and is therefore in keeping with the current perpetuation of disorder and confusion.
