Should you create an alter ego?
Tuesday – January 6, 2026

The short answer is that you may actually need to create an alter ego, and this in order to protect yourself in the world. The reasons why you may want to create an alter ego can be many, but for the purposes of this post the main reason would be to protect yourself. Indeed, it can be quite tedious and even hard to create an alternative you, really an alternative identity, but here at the end of history this may be something unavoidable, if you seek to remain in the world. While I can't speak for you—since I am generally unaware of the specific circumstance you find yourself in—I can at the very least provide some ideas as to what your alter ego might look like, but before that allow my to again explain why this action or really the intend to enter a new mode of being may be necessary if you intend to remain in the world. See, the world is a dangerous place, specifically the material domain, and since you have to embrace the beastly form at some point, the purpose of the alter ego is essentially to allow an alternative and artificial or virtual part of yourself to become the beast, really embrace the beastly form. This all means, of course, that under this veil your real self remains true and you remain deeply true to your original convictions. Indeed, I believe that it's quite right to describe this action or intent to alternate between two modes of being as a skillful application of your own intent guided by The Creator. Think about this proposition like this: if you're a zebra trying to run away from the lion, but you're very distinctly different and apart from the other zebras, then you're going to be much better off relying on a sort of camouflage against the horde, and yes indeed this is how the zebra survives. Yes, you want to project into the world an alternative identity that is in keeping with the materialist order, shallow, and unrepentant in the face of God. This does not mean that you're living a lie, because you're not. This way to protect yourself from the commotion of the modern world is actually quite the opposite of a lie: this is very much living your truth, but not in the world. Essentially, I am trying to explain to you that if you are going to remain awake and if you're going to seek the light, this will only become harder and harder as the world continues to fall apart and as disease and decay become more and more pronounced, even within yourself. In fact, hold that this may be the most effective way to protect yourself from the corruption of knowledge in the modern world, because this will allow you to always know your true self and to always, in every moment, be aware of your true self. With hardship comes much pain, and this pain will serve to remind you of your true self.
In terms of how exactly your alter ego might look, I can't, as I've previously stated, provide too many details, but I do believe that there are more skillful ways of embracing an alter ego and less skillful ways of embracing an alter ego. You may say to yourself that the best alter ego would be the loudest person in favor of the materialist order, really a histrionic and very shallow personality, but this is, in my view, not a skillful take on the nature of the need for an alter ego: see, when you shout and caper ferociously and really project onto the world your own rightful place in the world, you should only expect that this action will draw attention to you. No, I believe that the objective of creating and embracing an alter ego should always be to fall under the radar; when you attempt to pretend to be something that you are not, you will not fall under the radar. Yes, creating and embracing an alter ego for the purpose of protecting yourself against spiritual warfare is not the same as living a, as I've previously stated: this is, again, for the protection of your true self. This means that you need to be aware of the milieu that you exist in. For instance, if you live in a certain part of society where a certain etiquette is expected then sure, your alter ego should embrace this etiquette, but don't overdo it. One way to pass under the radar could be to embrace homosexuality, but beware, because doing this would border on living a lie, but yes as long as you only claim to be homosexual this could work, but only within the right circumstance. If you're a person living in a country where homosexuals are being persecuted, embracing homosexuality could actually be a good idea, because this would surely draw attention to yourself, but if you manage to leave that country and move to the Imperial Core, you would pass right under the radar once you arrive at the harbor. But again, beware of the sinful temptations that this could enable. The purpose of an alter ego is again, not to change who you are but rather to change what your project into the world: if your alter ego is too eccentric or risks causing injury to yourself, you're not being skillful.
There are many ways of creating an alter ego, but again I can't describe them all there, but you need to be skillful and you always need to allow for that alter ego to create within you a tension that serves to remind you of who you actually are, and this is why I brought up homosexuality in my example. If you don't like some aspect of the material domain, you may always incorporate this aspect into your alter ego, just to create that internal tension.
Lastly, it may be that it's not necessary for you to create an alter ego, but if you intend to live exposed as in the material domain, then you are much more susceptible to the propaganda and the malign influences of the serpent, but yes some exceptionally strong men may be able to live in this manner. I also want to clarify that my refusal to provide much detail about myself is different from my suggestion that you should embrace an alter ego, but the intention is the same: to protect myself and to provide security.
