Gold and its many sides. Well, actually gold has only one side, but more on that later... Why then should I bring up gold? Well, there are many reasons why I should bring up gold and quite frankly they are too many to enumerate here, but first of all I should mention that gold did not always use to be the most highly valued metal, here valued as in its essential characteristics, and this was particularity the case in the East, but even in the West it took a long time before gold became the "standard". Since most people only have a very materialistic and capitalistic understanding of gold and its value it can be quite hard to define the essential and sacred value of gold, but before I can do that I must emphasize that what is being dealt with hear is actually a much larger question about metallurgy and, again, the fact is that the importance of gold is a fairly recent development. Yes, gold is being more valued today because it is more easy to extract while many other metals are far more easy still to extract; there is a kind of marked drive balance here, because while gold is valued at nothing when it is not being extracted, it will also, again, be valued at nothing if its extraction should become too easy, and this balance, somewhat impose I may add, is why gold in recent times have come to be valued. The historical account is of course much more complicated and has a lot to do with the sacerdotal sciences such as alchemy and astrology, read "Sacred Medicine": the common understanding is of course that the alchemists attempted to "invent" a methodology for the creation of gold, but this is an entirely falsified account of history; first of all, you may not invent something that is quite impossible, and secondly, the idea that alchemy was about the creation of gold for the sake of creating gold is just a complete misunderstanding; it is really a collision of modalities, and the crude and cynical sense of the world really comes through in this quite fantastical account of history. Besides all these points: why should modern men even concern themselves with gold, now that money, a true perversion of the coinage, can be invented, and here the world invent does not apply either, since none of this money actually has any sacred or material value. What is money? Well, for the most part money is just something the government prints and then society pretends that this paper has some kind of value, and of course increasingly money is not even printed on a piece of paper with some kind of substance; today money is increasingly virtual, another sign of our times. So, I ask again, what value, sacred or material, can be tied to gold? I do not intend to answer that question as it is not for me to answer, but I will point out again, this has to be repeated, the fact that the moderns simply fail to understand the simplest and most primitive of things without the idea that some kind of value has to be tied to that thing; is this not an attempt to replace God?
At one point in time, money used to be tied to gold, and at that time this also tied most of the economy to certain restraints, and this included government spending, and you could say that money was still a completely material concern at that time, but at least money had substance; ever since, about the year 1971, money has become almost entirely virtual, yet people have no problem with this, which also goes to show how stupid most people are, read "Democracy". But gold on the other hand has remained a kind of "back up", at least for certain people with a lot of money, because those people realize that "the gig is up" that they will not be able to keep their riches and they will not be able to keep up their material conditions, without some kind of back up, but none, at least very few, of these people actually realize the true importance of gold. See, gold in and of itself is actually completely worthless because it is almost completely useless, with some few exceptions, and so you may not actually argue that gold truly has some kind of material value, because what smith in his right mind, read "Mental Illness" would actually create a sword out of gold? Well, if he is in his right mind he would not create such a sword. So what is the matter with gold? Again, try to get the history of gold right: what gold represents is one of the first signs of the modern deviation; since gold represents nothing, to the moderns that is, except some kind of abstract future, this is the basis for investments, gold and the creation of money was really the first steps away from an aristocratic rule, read "Temporal Power", to the rule of the bourgeoisie, the Vaiśya's (वैश्य), really the first days of modernity as most people know it, although it was the aristocratic caste, the Kṣatriya's (क्षत्रिय), who first revolted against the Brahmin's (ब्राह्मण) and usurped the sacerdotal importance of Gold, the coinage, and metallurgy at large. Also, in this connection I should mention usury, something that is strictly forbidden in many of the major metaphysical traditions, but today hardly anyone would even understand the implications of allowing for this continual creation of money out of "thin air" for the purpose of even more far fledged and perverted material applications. What is the driving force behind usury if not something Satanic? Also, by allowing for usury you are essentially promoting a profound disruption from the ground upwards of the entire sacred order, read "Hierarchy". Besides, they will steal away all that gold and all of those possessions from you one day anyways; even if the Bolsheviks of the previous century appeared to have lost, this is in fact yet another illusion, but that subject is well outside the scope of this post, read "My Views on Socialism".
Lastly, should you buy gold or should you sell gold, or should you perhaps leave it alone? Well, I am not a professional, to use the world qualified in this connection would be heresy, but I cannot recommend relying too much on money (fiat currency) and if gold can provide some kind of security, then so be it, but I also do not recommend that you grow too attached to this metal without having a proper understanding of the sacred importance of gold, a topic for another time. Besides, gold will only function as a placeholder for money anyways, and as long as you remain in the world you will never be able to outrun or outsmart the material order. Unless you completely leave the world behind – you may as well dwell in the filth. Again, I am not a professional!
