Do you believe that politicians will solve your problems? If you do, you are mistaken, and this is certainly the case when it comes to metaphysical questions, but even when it comes to the multitudes and ever growing material problems you face, politicians will not and cannot do anything to solve them for you. The entire idea that a politician, through the state of course, should act to solve another mans material problems is just fantastical to begin with, but within democracies most people seem to believe this, which is yet another proof of why democracy can never actually work in practice, and it's also a proof of how stupid the vast majority of people actually are; indeed, talk about "regression towards the means", and in this context that's not a good thing. You see, human beings have "evolved", it's claimed, to be adaptable, and this basically means that by virtue of this continual need to be adaptable, humans are also profoundly mediocre, read "Mediocracy". Of course, the politicians who are engaging in this "metaphysical warfare" would want you to subscribe to their ideology and more so to the notion that they are going to help you, but have you ever thought about the implications of this idea? How is your life somehow going to be affected, adversely or positively, by the temporary rearrangement of the state? And even if this is the case, it can't last, right? No, politicians are never going to help you, because they are not capable of helping anyone but themselves, and even if they had the sincere intention to "help" people, the best they could do would be to resign. If there's anything politics does good, it's to create more and more problems, and this some people refer to as the "administrative state". Where did this metaphysical monstrosity that is the nation-state come from in the first place? See, there's nothing metaphysically "organic" or normal about the nation-state; nation-states are by their very nature unnatural and not normal, and the fact that this construction only appeared first in modernity is all you need to know. Power, and greater control over material power is the main reason for these so-called "nations", and in the destruction of the feudal system, more and more power and control could be concentrated in the hands of the very few. You see, politicians are a very new invention and they only became possible after the disruption of the Church in 1324 onward, culminating with the French Revolution in 1789 the stage was set for the modern world, and really you may say that Napoleon Bonaparte was a proto-politician of sorts, and especially when he raised that monstrous bastardization of an army, consisting merely of peasants without any proper rank. Indeed, mass mobilization is a core feature of politics, and something that feeds the ego and vanity of the political class, who are merely servants I should add. Indeed, I do pity the man, that is to say most men, that find reassurance in politicians, but you see, most of the western world is constructed around politics, and this is why some will claim that every aspect of life is essentially another dimension, another battlefield for the metaphysical warfare that is politics, and for these men nothing else can be said, they are right and everyone else are wrong, this is essentially a precursor to totalitarianism, and yes politics has to be totalitarian, it cannot be another way; these men are in other words, ideologically possessed, and they represent the beast in his most advanced form: these men are without mind and without any will divergent from the ideological future; these men will march to their death to save the material order.
The reason I bring up politicians is because these people primarily derive their power from imagination, and indeed, the entire justification of the state is illusory; the state, as previously stated, can only be described as a metaphysical monstrosity, a creature that is quite impossible, in normal times that is, and exists only for the purpose of cannibalism, that's it. When you allow yourself to become metaphysically deluded—a prerequisite for modernity, or more precisely the modern outlook—you grant merely mediocrity power over your mind, and this is something positively evil: it's evil to do against yourself, but it's also an act of evil in the metaphysical sense. Where is God? Where are the real boundaries of the moral domain? None seem to exist in the modern world; instead God and the cosmological order has been replaced by disease and confusion, and this disease and confusion, this veritable chaos, can only be solved by politicians. Well, according to modern men that is. You may keep feeding the monster, but it's not going to stop him; you can only stop the monster by putting your foot down, and this can surely be carried out in the form of "Radical Peace", but as long as you keep feeding the monster, you're only making him stronger, and he will devour you, make no mistake about that. If you want to read more about politics I suggest that you read this post labeled "Should you engage with politics?", where I discuss the material aspects of political discourse in more detail.
Lastly, in terms of "political objects", a topic you can read more about in my "Collectivism & Individualism series", it's clear that politicians are similar to the ugly sight of modern soldiers: their incessant need to wear what amounts to a corporate uniform is really a form of rather subtle propaganda aimed at people with a weak or mediocre mental faculty; this corporate suit, another modern monstrosity, is really a form of urban camouflage meant to make it harder for you to distinguish between particular individuals, which is a way for politicians to "camouflage" themselves against other politicians, and this is even more expressed in political colors, where red or blue usually work to prime your mind to erase the individualism of each man and to enable the collectivism, or hyper individualism, of the tribe, in this case the political tribe; and in the end allow only the hysteria of the crowd to rule over the few men that may resist this uninvited encroachment of the "anthropological distance". Indeed, metaphysical warfare should be the definition of politics. Yes, these are ugly, crude, mendacious, duplicitous, sorted, I can go on with the adjectives..., people – never trust a politician.
