The most ageless thing in existence must be the universe itself, depending on what we define as existence and assuming that we should negate God, the Lord, our Creator, and the source of all Knowledge. This means that you have only lived a fraction of the age of the universe; that is so small that it would be close to meaningless to attempt to define this fraction. Now, some people, especially certain Buddhists, would go on to define your age as whatever fraction of the age of the universe you have lived and then add to that the whole age of the universe, which would be quite accurate from a material and numerical point of view. After all, you consist of the same thing that everything else in the universe consists of, and the only difference is that threshold of consciousness, but apart from that it would be quite accurate to say that you are about 13.79 billion years old, and I would not digress from this point, other than attempting to focus on the suprahuman point of view, which is that of the primordial body, in this instance that is. Of course, because of the rampant individualism of our times, read my "Collectivism & Individualism series", most people only focus on the consciousness and they treat the rest of life and the rest of existence with utter contempt; we are in the "Me generation", and it shows and it is not a pretty sight. Because of this narrow and provincial point of view, people miss the point entirely, and some go so far as to think that all that life should revolve around should be their ego, perhaps their wish to sell toys and candy to little children and all for another buck, and when the ego has become this gross, this monstrous, all sane perspective has started to wither away, read "What is Mental Illness?". But it is true that you are 13.79 billion years old, and again I find no need to avoid having to make this point clear,* because I am capable of engaging in a powerful form of differentiation, between the material and the supermaterial, read "What is Divine Inspiration?", and this has enabled me to see beyond ignorance, which seems to be a hard thing to do for most people. One may say that these things were ordered by themselves, or at any rate this is what most Atheists would say, for they have convinced themselves of their own closed system.
Now, age is, as I have covered elsewhere, a construction, a sociological construction, but age is also a matter of identity; most people are taught at a fairly early age to associate their "age" with themselves, similar to how gender, read "My views on the Concept of 'Gender-Queer?'", is identified with you or some other person. Now, I will say that I do not believe that it is accurate to state that age is an integral part of the identity in the way that gender or sex is, or at any rate how in the way that most people would subscribe to sex and gender as being an integral part of their identity. There are many things in society though, that do depend on age, but here we must also consider the adverse effects of secular laws as opposed to divine law, read "The Problem of Secular Law", and the interesting part about secular laws is how they treat people as objects in this sense, because they seek to reduce people to their object and material status. How many revolutions have you made around the sun? Well, perhaps 40 or maybe 25, why not 100? At any rate, age can tell you quite a bit about someone's material status, and since materialism is all that matters, or at any rate most things revolve around this, which means that not only are people reduced to a number, the number that they have been reduced to is itself reduced to more materialisms in the second hand, which is a kind of anti-transfiguration. If you instead of this, decide to identify with the universe, with 13.79 billion years, you can quickly start to integrate yourself with the universe instead of integrating yourself with something fleeting and transient, something that will be taken away from you without your consent. Are you a number? No, buy your corporeal form may very well be a number, or perhaps it can be allowed to be defined by a number, the choice is yours, and I suppose as well that while you are allowing yourself to be a number that you should forget about trying to find enlightenment, because there is no enlightenment to be found here; you have reached a dead end. Now, at this point I may be rambling on because I forgot the subject at hand for an instant, but I will be back soon.
Yes, age, what about it? Here I am referring to age as a number defined by one revolution around the sun, which means that I am dealing with a unit here I suppose. This unit does not have to exist only as integers; it can be defined on the whole real number line, and a function based on this unit would encompass that same number line within its domain. If you allow yourself to multiply the number of revolutions around the sun that you have made with that unit, one year, you have your numerical age. Now, some still would argue that there can be a mismatch, if you will, between someone's numerical age and their mental age, and without getting into nonsense territory, there is a certain alchemy, again mind the incorrect usage of that word, behind this. There is another metric that I have refrained from using until now, and that is the whole concept of IQ (Intelligence Quotient), and from what I have been able to gather from extra research, it seems that some very so-called "gifted" children have this discrepancy between their mental age and their numerical age. Of course, the opposite could also be true and is often true, and according to profane science I suppose that it should be expected that there should be about as many of these extreme individuals. All numerical exercises aside, age is not meaningless, but depending on the situation, it (age) can seem arbitrary, and as usual with these things, people will use age to categorise people in whatever manner suits them at the moment (arbitrary), and this is unfortunate. Now, I cannot help that people function in this way, but if you do get the opportunity to tell people your age, tell them that you are approximately 13.79 billion years, and scratch what I stated about adding anything more to the age of the universe, because the universe did not stop existing because you gained consciousness.
