Notes on "Polygamy" – freestyle

Image
Bedouins ( بَدْو ) in the Hejaz ( ٱلْحِجَاز ), 16th century Notes on Polygamy | Sunday – February 22, 2026 P olygamy as the moderns refer to the otherwise normal practice of a husband taking more than one wife, which is really referred to as polygyny, is the source of some controversy and confusion, and really it must be stated that the practice of taking more than one wife is often considered something quite  reprehensible by these same moderns, and again this moral confusion is really particularly expressed in the West . Excuse my usage of the neologisms "polygamy" and "polygyny", for these words are entirely modern in origin and it's really quite clear from the prefix "poly" that the modern obsession with measurement, number, and quantification is what can be described as the source of the confusion in this connection; from this point onward I intend to only rely on the word polygamy to mean essentially what the more precise word polygyny refers to...

Notes on Marriage Equality – freestyle

Saint Jerome reading a pseudo-Mongol script ( Εὐσέβιος Σωφρόνιος Ἱερώνυμος ) Notes on Marriage Equality | Sunday – March 8, 2026 M arriage is a subject that I have covered in the past because the magnitude of the topic on the entirety of the social organization is simply too important to ignore, read more about marriage here and here , and sure there are many other such topics that are important from a social point of view, but I still find that marriage is at the core of the question of civilization, and truly I can assert with a great deal of confidence that without marriage there can be no civilization; at the core of all civilizations is the sacred unity between husband and wife. And yes, it is certainly the case that the consecration of marriage between husband and wife is under severe attack in the West, especially as this pertains to the concept of "Marriage Equality", that is to say the extension of marriage, in a legal sense, to members outside this sacred unity be...

Polygamy as an Alternative to Divorce

Image
Musa ( موسى ابن عمران ) winning his battle against the Pharao's magicians Polygamy as an Alternative to Divorce | Wednesday – March 11, 2026 D ivorce is another one of those modern catastrophes, a "convention" or perhaps a "style" without any sanction from spiritual authority, another " right " that has been claimed or demanded by the people least capable of receiving divine instruction . Of course, just as well in a democracy I guess and  in keeping with the individualist attitude of the moderns: why should marriage be considered sacred when everything else is now deemed "secularized" and quantifiable to the nth degree? After all, should not the particular and momentary " preference " of the individual rule supreme, above the natural order , which is a prerequisite for this deviation in the first place? Of course, divorce is a matter of " freedom " and individual determination, and in the end there's no such thing ...

Yahweh in  (יהוה‎) : Moses and the Burning Bush Why is marriage under attack? Tuesday – December 2, 2025 To begin, there are a great number of very rude and offensive people that may attack this post, and there's really nothing I can do to prevent this. Yes, these modern people are very rude and offensive indeed, but I do believe in allowing these people to show the world why they are bad people and how their ideas are bad and harmful. At the same time I do not blame these people, for they know not better, they are living under many layers of delusion, which is sad, but I have covered this topic in the past . I've also covered the topics of marriage and relationships in the past; I do not intend to cover those topics in this post again.     To be clear, I don't actually believe in marriage: I believe that marriage is a largely modern construction in keeping with the nation-state. I believe that marriage in a lot of ways was a way to replace the old feudal system with a...

Answering Readers, Part 1

Biblical ( תַּנַ״ךְ ) depiction of the flight from Sodom and Gomorrah Marital Concerns | Wednesday – June 17, 2026 I have been invited by one of my readers to answer some of his questions about his marital concerns . Before I proceed to do so, I must first state that I am not a professional, professional in the sense of holding any kind of state issued or approved certificate. It is also my policy to never reveal personal details about my readers, unless the person seeking my advice has explicitly stated that doing so (revealing certain personal details) is okay. In this instance—the first post in this series as it happens—Mr. Abdalla Hossain has explicitly approved of me using his name in this post.     Mr. Abdalla Hossain asks: " Hello Mr. Dutt! My wife is frustrated about our love life and keeps saying  that I need to stop wanting so much sex. We are married now since 2011 and  I just don’t know how to deal with her? Should I listen to her or should I  cons...

Inheritance

Thai ( หนุมาน ) iconography of Hanuman ( हनुमान् ) From the Ramakien ( รามเกียรติ์ ) Inheritance | Friday – May 22, 2026 I nheritance is one fairly controversial subject, especially in the wake of multiculturalism ... The fact is of course that the issue or matter of inheritance, depending on your view, tends to vary across cultures: in some cultures there is indeed and has indeed been, at least for some time, a practice of dividing up the inheritance across each eligible member, in a "fair" or egalitarian way, but in many cultures this is simply not the practice today nor was it in the past.      First of all, let us understand the matter of inheritance from a purely Western and action oriented point of view : in the West, the political objective of egalitarianism makes a lot of claims for itself , but it is true though, that Christendom has a practice of dividing the inheritance between men and women equally, and to that extend it would perhaps be quite right to invok...

The Puritan Fallacy

Image
Hindu ( ॐ ) depiction of Tantric ( तन्त्र ) goddess Bhairavi ( भैरवी ) and her consort Shiva ( शिव ) depicted as Kāpālika ascetics ( कापालिक ) The Puritan Fallacy | Thursday – June 11, 2026 I n some ways "Puritanism" can be helpful , but more often than not people who obsess over being pure this and pure that, have one or two skeletons in their closet. Particularly this appears to be the case with fundamentalists , read " The Hypocrisy of the Pious ", who use puritanism, often as it pertains to the sensual arts, to cloak themselves in lies that tell a story of something that simply is not the case, while this also allows them to demean the actions of other men, and according to many psychoanalysts this would be a case of "projection", a kind of projection of one's own deceit, which makes these false preachers another kind of counterfeit that you will be sure to encounter in the modern world . Noise and politics is really their modus operandi  and of ...

Madhubani (Mithila) painting depicting Indian life(मधुबनी चित्रकला) Friday: My views on promiscuity – May 30, 2025 Along with the lines of modern thinking about progress and moral relativism comes the seemingly inevitable erosion of boundaries – more often than not, sacred boundaries.     The world makes itself apparent in many different stages across many different dimensions, and in modern times this aspect of existence has been challenged and attacked, and as a result morality itself has become dispersed and extended to such an extend that any action has been and can be made acceptable within the moral domain: such as homosexuality, polygamy, the decay of marriage, the sexualization of children, individualism, the fetizhization of the human condition, and much more. Indeed, modern man seems to have fallen in love with himself, and in his state of self aggrandizement, self adulation, and complete idolatry, the world is falling apart all around him.  ...

Cousin Marriage

Image
14th-century miniature of a family tree Cousin Marriage | Friday – March 13, 2026 C ousin Marriages are in the news again, and this time, politicians in many Western nations are proposing to make marriages between cousins illegal; I should also point out that often these measures are aimed at certain immigrant communities with a high proportion of Mohammedans, another consequence of multiculturalism . The arguments against cousin marriages are the usual, material only, including the notion that women in these marriages are somehow oppressed ( read Feminism ) and that the offspring "produced" in the union between two cousins are more likely to suffer from certain genetic disabilities, a point actually quite contested among modern scientists, read Sacred Medicine . Of course, the point about "protecting" women is always salient these days, as modern women are apparently always being oppressed by the mores and ways of the " primitives ", who lack any sense...

Yayoi Asukayama Hanami ( 弥生 ) — by Shigemasa Kitao ( 北尾 重政 ) Tuesday: What is the purpose of marriage? | August 5, 2025 The station between man and woman (marriage) exists in the modern world as a legal fiction, that can be changed and manipulated by the will of the serpent , and this legal form of marriage has severely departed from the primordial and sacred station between man and woman that once was, and in this post this latter is what I will refer to as marriage, whereas the former I will refer to as the marital contract, for marriage in modern times has nothing to do with the celestial order or the sacred, it is merely a legal fiction meant to facilitate tax advantages and other transactional considerations. The laws of of nature as put forth by God's commands , have ordained that men and women should fancy each others discovery and company for the purpose of creating more life, and as such it is indeed a necessary component of any society that wish to propagate itself in...
