Should You Forgive?
Friday – March 27, 2026
Forgiveness is often a somewhat contested subject among the believers, especially among the followers of Christ. Of course, in the purview of metaphysics there is no one path, so to speak, but I would suggest that whatever tradition you belong to, that you allow this to guide you. The matter of how to interpret the Bible will not be considered in this post, as I would be wholly unqualified for such a task. I will however, mention the theological circumstance of the old testament, specifically Exodus 21:24, and the new testament, specifically Matthew 5:39, appearing to advise two different modalities, the old testament emphasizing as it typically does action, and the new testament emphasizing as it typically dies contemplation. It would, I am sure, be relevant to put both of these verses into their proper theological and historical context: the fact is that there is much evidence that the circumstances facing Covenant Israel in the days of Abraham were dramatically different from the circumstances facing Christ in the days of the Roman Emperor Augustus, and from a purely metaphysical point of view the symbolic Christ could not be without the pacific approach.
But the question here is again: should you forgive? Indeed, while I am unable to provide any specific advice, I do believe myself able to at the very least describe somewhat of a kind of modality of forgiveness, but as usual with matter of supra-intelligent magnitude, it must be made clear that there is no such thing a universality or uniformity; truly no man can claim to rectify every injustice and every crime in the name of forgiveness, and the fact is still that forgiveness is really only applicable during certain circumstances, and the suggestion that the peoples of the ancient world would have any understanding of the Christian concept of forgiveness is of course nonsensical, but this is because the means of forgiving had to occur at a specific moment during the course of the cosmological cycle, and truly this is why it made sense for Christ to appear among men on Earth when he did. Would the message of universal salvation and forgiveness make any sense in an earlier epoch? Of course not, and this is the insight that you must possess if you intend to understand the metaphysical aspect of forgiveness. It would be all too well to go on in blind belief about forgiveness, and for most people this would be just as well. But, from a historical point of view, it should become rather apparent that forgiveness in the Western sense, is a Western phenomena that suits the action oriented mentality of Western men; really, in the East the metaphysical aspects of what Westerners believe to be forgiveness are already understood, and really requires no particular expression, because in the East contemplation tends to preoccupy the senses. This is why the East, on the other hand, tends to need a kind of aggressive and assertiveness, because just as forgiveness suits the rather more action oriented mentality of Westerners better in order to balance the scales of the celestial order, a similar counterweight is appropriate for the Eastern mentality. The suggestion that forgiveness needs to be expressed in the East is of course preposterous, but this ingestion does tend to "ring true" in the Western world, and really in Modern civilization in general. What would the Western world be without forgiveness? Of course, this expressed forgiveness is often misunderstood, misapplied, and deployed against Western civilization, and a primary example of this is the hordes of foreign peoples entering the lands of the traditional West; no such observation can be made in any other civilization in history, at least not on this scale, a truly existential migration that will be sure to affect profound disruption across the imperial core.
But now, allow me to return to the question at hand: should you forgive? Again, it depends. If you are a follower of Christ, then I would suggest that you forgive, but I would suggest that you understand that your forgiveness is something that you are expressing in a rather corporeal and almost transactional sense, and that the modalities of the traditionally Eastern civilizations have no need for such an expressed and almost crude practice. What I will add is also that you should always approach every matter skillfully: is it skillful to forgive without hesitation and completely indiscriminately? What would the service on the societal organization and on the creation at large be, if you allowed the modern insanity of libertarian tolerance to infest your every step? Would this truly be in service of Christ? I am not able to answer this question, because I am unqualified, but I do believe that these are important questions, because if your willingness to forgive causes greater harm, then you are a source or a vessel of satanic influence, and while you may not realize this, especially not if you are unaware, it should be easier to understand this if you at the very least consider the immediate and corporeal aspects of forgiveness. Should a murder be forgiven? This question would, of course, be treated differently in the East and the West, and for a long time it seemed quite natural for the action oriented men of the West to bring swift justice by executing the murderer, but this approach is hardly remembered these days, which is a strong indication of our times, the Kali Yuga. It is quite frankly clear to me, that the source of this modern deviation is the West, and truly the ground zero of this mental confusion appears to be the miscarriage of metaphysics, and this is expressed particularly in the ideological indoctrination with the emphasis on humanism, something that did not naturally occur in the East.
While I strongly avoid attempting to materialize and quantify something that exists beyond the sensible, I do believe a somewhat approximate approach to forgiveness should be to seek to not cause more damage by forgiving and contemplation than by action, and in the West it appears that forgiveness, a truly materialized and perverted kind of forgiveness, is at the core of the deviation. What kind of forgiveness is it to allow upheaval and chaos to reign? This is not forgiveness, this is simple and crude stupidity, and it will take the Western world down with it, read "Destruction". If you chose to forgive, then this is a blessed (Barakat, بركات) thing to do, but the purpose of forgiveness is something beyond the material, and as long as you go on and apply forgiveness to the material, then you will only find chaos, truly this is a category error.
