I am still under the weather over here, and because of this I am just not able to keep up with all of this writing; so, do bear with me. But I did still have some thoughts to share about cars, and yes the picture that I have decided to feature has nothing to do with cars, as far as I can tell, but I do believe that it captures my feelings towards cars, because, for the most part at any rate, I do not enjoy cars very much, and I really do not enjoy what cars do and have done to the world. Besides, it is my staunch opinion that as long as men are capable of walking, men should walk. Of course, that is easier said than done, but I am also no puritan in this regard; of course I have been traveling in cares on occasion, especially when I am unable to get from destination A to destination B by merely walking, but I have respect for walking and in turn my own body, and this is something that you may not say about most people, read "The Primordial Body".

    I do surely understand why most people find it almost unavoidable to use cars, especially in certain contexts, but you have to recognize that the cars have changed the world, because the world of old, in the past, people were perfectly able to go by without the need for a car; it is only recently were the world has been changed in such a way that it has become practically impossible to escape the car. In fact, the car reaches beyond merely being a commodity, the car is now something quite mental and even mesmerizing, and of course the proponents of this industrial age have no concerns with this, and they even go as far as to say that man becomes liberated this way, which is true, but again only in an a very narrowly corporeal way. Of course, the entire landscape of modern civilizations are now partly or wholly defined by the need for driving cars, these monstrous and enormous mechanical contraptions that are supposed to work, and yes they (the cars) do end up working, read "Mechanism". Of course, when the cars work, should we not ask ourselves at what cost? The other day I wrote about the car accident or attack, depending on who you ask, that took place in Europe recently, read "Another Day in Europe", and I have been thinking about the consequences of cars since then. Now, it is obviously the case that cares are not made to be driven into a crowd of people, but what is that crowd of people supposed to do when the care nonetheless is driving into them? This may come across as a rather silly question, but it is a serious question having to do with freedom, that word that is so important to Westerners, but what about the freedom of the so-called "pedestrians", as if people simply walking belong in their own category and as if driving a car is, or should, be considered the default. No, this entire thing is actually outrageous! But then again, there are many outrageous things about the modern world, and I guess I am being depressive and not very encouraging here, but I do not believe in encouragement, a topic I have covered in greater detail here. So stop already, if you believe in freedom, I find the word believe and how it is being applied amusing. I do understand that it is not up to each individual to stop the car, so to speak, but each individual can still take prudent action, action that can help prevent the further devastation of the entire natural landscape, because at this rate it seems to me that there are going to be cars, highways and freeways, and industrial commotion everywhere in the not so distant future, but then again this future does tie into our timeline, read "Disintegration".

    Also, about me understanding, read "Who am I", that most people are going to "go by", it should be go with, car at some point(s) in their life, I must add that these people are quite frankly lazy, and they are not only lazy in the corporeal sense, but also in the psychic and mental sense, read "What is Mental Illness?", because these people have to really tell themselves everyday that they really are so lazy and so uninterested in and by the world that they just accept everything that comes their way, including the car. But, then they say, what if you end up at the hospital and are transferred there via ambulance? Well, to that I can only say that you are not responsible for the mode of transportation, but what you are responsible for is how you ended up in the hospital and therefore the ambulance in the first place. Now, I should make it clear that I do not believe that there is anything wrong with going by an ambulance per see, as ambulances are integrated parts of the industrial society, but it is really this idea of taking for granted everything that industry and modernity has to offer and then expecting to somehow remain completely unaffected by this. Is this not a stunning way of living? No, because most people simply are not capable of living in any other and should I say decent way, and so it is now just normal for people to travel by cars everywhere, but the fact that people are surprised when I, and others, find cars to be offensive and indecent, is really what should be surprising, in my view that is. Yes, modern people are so indecent.

    I know that this post has mostly been me complaining, but I did need to complain here, because I am under the weather and I am not going to allow myself to not rest, read "Rest". Also, if I do not allow myself to write about cars, it can come to be the case that I end up being too frustrated over this issue, and also, cars are a big issue, even though some would prefer to pretend that cars are a small issue and that I am just someone of little importance, which would be true, but you, you car driver are also of little importance, especially when you are strolling down the street in the dark of night, not able to anticipate the next care because the headlights on the next car are broken. Yes, these things do happen in life, which is not great once you are under the car, like those people in Berlin recently. Anyhow, if you drive a car then you may just end up being very surprised when you end up colliding with another car, or at least you should not be surprised when that happens. Also, you can always "take a walk", which is another amusing colloquialism, read "Notes on Reading".
