Recovery, Part 3 |
Wednesday – October 28, 2026
Hopefully this will be my last update as I am feeling more able thus more capable everyday, but still I am not quite myself and I am very tired and my body is certainly in need of recovery. Now, as I have stated in this mini series a couple of times already, I did not necessarily expect the road to recovery to be this long, but I realize just as well that this may be the best and of course these things, surgery and all, to tend to take a certain toll on the body and I am happy that I am capable of resting and reading my books. I should be speaking to a learned man about the Qur'an (الْقُرْآن), but I have yet to be able to access such information, and so I will wait, but perhaps I have a series on the Qur'an in the woodworks for next year (2027) that is. Of course, still my "Bible Study series" is in full swing and I will continue that series for as long as I am capable and as long as this series is yielding any meaning.
Yes, I am capable of saying with some confidence that I am recovering a little bit every day and this is certainly a good thing and something that I will use in order to garner more strength and in order to get back to my old writing schedule, but do mind my ramblings, for these things happen. I have already decided to avoid morphine and I only need this medication whenever I am in a lot of pain, and since I am not in that much pain anymore, I believe that I can say with some confidence that I will not be needing any morphine anytime soon, but I also do not want to be too quick on my feet in regards to this all because I could be wrong, so do bear with me. I cannot say that I like laying around all day, and this is why I am up and walking a little bit, but since I also need to be careful about certain movements, I will also need to not walk around too much and too aggressively, which is why I believe that I can say that I have discovered a certain equilibrium, or a new equilibrium for my body. Again, this will take in full about 4 (four) weeks, but I expect most of the recovery to go quicker than that, and hopefully I will almost not notice anything within the week. Yes, I know that I did not expect my recovery to be this long, but sometimes people tend to overestimate their own ability, and I suppose this is what happened here, although I do not believe that it would be quite accurate to say that I "overestimated" my own ability; instead I suppose that I can say that I simply had no idea how long it would take to recover from a surgery, and in my case a planned surgery.
Really, I do not wish to go on about myself too much, and if you must read more about me, then read more posts in this series. Now, you can also read my post "Who Am I?", if you want to find out more about me, and you can read my "Dreaming" post if you wish to find out more about my mission. Again, I cannot say that my diseased gallbladder had anything to do with the unknown; instead I must defer to profane science and a simple fact of bad luck. Yes, you may say that a large contributor to me developing gallstones in the first place is the fact that I have been unlucky in this regard, especially when I experienced bilious attacks, something that I simply cannot recommend anyone going through. I read that King George the III of Great Britain and Ireland suffered from both bilious attacks and bilious fevers, and that this could have contributed to his declining mental state; of course, my own mental state is just fine and without any problems. I can, however, surely imagine that someone who is suffering from physical pain will also be affected by this mentally and psychically; really, this does make a lot of sense. Reality is a precious thing and when we lose our sense of it, life becomes rather gloomy and unpleasant, read "Personal Disintegration". Now, the case of George III was certainly one of personal disintegration, but in his case I believe that I can say, again, with some confidence that the mental problems preceded the physical ailments he suffered from. Perhaps the Americans above anyone else should be happy about the condition of George III? I think so...
Now, as I have been stating and pondering in a recent post, it is now autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, and yes the Northern Hemisphere tends to be the most boring and least exciting part of the world, especially the Western corner of that Northern Hemisphere, and this is why I have decided to mostly focus on the Southern Hemisphere. Now, I did mention Mongolian Shamanism (Бөө мөргөл) the other day, and I will do research on Mongolian Shamanism, but in the meantime I have decided to do research and some early writing about Africa, especially Africa south of the equator, but in this regard I do believe that we can chose to rely instead on the political label "the global south", for during this period I believe that I will be better off writing about the global south as opposed to concerns about the "global north", note that these terms are problematic. Indeed, I have covered many cultural aspects of countries such as India, but I have rarely mentioned why, and perhaps it would be a good idea to mention some of the reasons why I believe that these traditions are profoundly important, but still I must mention that we must separate the modern nation-state from the tradition; I have no interest in going on about the modernism of nation-states, read more here. Again, these are interesting aspects of the world that require more exploration, that require further insight, and really these aspects are being more and more suppressed, read "The Eschatology of the Kali Yuga". Then there are also certain African traditions that deserve more insight as well, and perhaps I should do more research about this subject as well, especially East African traditions are unknown to a lot of people, because of course most people are familiar with the West African and the Haitian Vodun (Voodoo), read "Thoughts on Animism". Of course, the harsh reality of most of these cultural aspects is that they are rather diminished, but this does not mean that they should not be studied and written down and really understood, for only understanding can forge meaning, especially today in this environment of accelerated decline. Anyhow, these were some of my thoughts today, and hopefully the last medical update for a while or forever.
