Nature, read "How to Interact with Nature?", is something that is missing in the world today, although it is not entirely true to say that either; instead nature is missing in action. Yes, nature is still out there, but people are more and more distant from nature, which in and of itself is quite abnormal. Instead, man has attempted to liberate himself form the organic rhythms of nature, by creating concepts such as time and laws, in order to live by the cycles of materialism, and these cycles have instead of actually liberating man imprisoned him, and today this is simply modernity, or what one can refer to as modernity in the colloquial sense. Really, this is a monster if anything, and it seems that on occasion a lot of people realize this, but then they move on with their lives and with their addictions, read "Frugality", and so they never truly reach a resolution, and indeed few things are ever resolved in the modern day anyways, and so people get used to it. But once people do enter nature, they do so as strangers, as creatures who are completely alien to that environment, and to these people nature is nothing but a nice scenic trip, a moment that one has to live once or perhaps twice in life and then check off "nature" as one of their "achievements" in life; really, nature for these people is not a matter of reality, it is really just a matter of individualism, a personal preference and something that one may boast about but never truly live, and besides, since most of these people have been so deprived of their proper place in the creation, read "Hierarchy", they would never know how to survive in nature anyways. The world of this our 21st century must therefore represent a complete cut off from nature, really a turning point that will alter the course of history.

    I gather that very few humans, especially in the so-called "developed world", would be capable of surviving long in nature, and this may be just as well. It may be just as well not that people will die, but it may be just as well because these problems will solve themselves eventually, and this is the entire point of destruction and death to begin with; I am of course referring to the vengeance of the righteous, but more on this later. I think it would be true to say though, that most people like nature, at least most people who are not yet completely solidified, and for these people there is a strange tension that they have been thought to suppress, another one of those painful and anxiety inducing contradictions of life, and this has been the cause of much outrage and outcry over the years. Why for instance are so many people so obsessed with staying healthy and "natural", even "organic", these days? Well, these people do recognize that their sordid lifestyle is wrong and that they need to do something in order to live a somewhat righteous life, but this massive confusion is again not something that they are capable of resolving on their own, and why should they be? No, the world is a confusing place.

    However, allow me to leave the world as it is behind for a moment, and explain why nature is still important. If you do go out on one of those sightseeing trip in the woods, for instance, you may have been surprised by the fact that everything feels so right in place, and this is because most things in nature, even though a lot of what people today call nature is at best a kind of artificial or mongrel nature, are place within an acceptable proximity, that is to say: the tree belongs, for the most part, in nature, the squirrel and so forth belongs in nature; and once upon a time man belonged in nature as well, but as I alluded to above, today one can hardly assert that man has any place in nature, which is a shame and something quite tragic indeed. Now, this is also not to suggest that life was better during the stone ages, but it is to suggest that life was better before the advent of a mechanistic and deterministic model of the universe, because today we are completely left out of the system that we claim to be able to model, or rather the people who claim to be able to model this system, this virtual representation of the world, are not apart of their own system.* Is this a good idea? No, not at all and we can see it today with our own eyes. Again, I do not want to keep coming back to my critique of the modern world, but since I am not a poet it is also not my intention to attempt to describe the wonders of nature with too much purplish prose; this is up to real poets to do, and many of them are quite good at this, read "Qualification".

    I suppose that it is true that materialism is quite comfortable, but again we have to confront a contradiction of the modern world: most politicians promise both more freedom and comfort, when in reality the modern world offers little freedom and a lot of material comfort, but then again this comfort is almost also entirely virtual, because in any given moment, you can almost be sure that the levels of stress and anxiety are higher in any given person, compared with the natural and normal background. Yes, this is the case, and most of this fear and stress comes from the fact than this independence from nature, the cycles of nature, has made it quite necessary for men to rely on some reference point, and this reference point is time, and when you rely on time you are put into a chronic state of anxiety, because you have to always keep filling the gaps in order to keep up with the quick sorted flow of time. Yes, it may be painful, but this is how you must relate to these things in the world, for you are not given a choice. But then again, humans are apart from all other animals on the planet because humans are capable of altering the material world in a meaningful way, and really in a useful way, and this is a good thing, but when materialism morphs into something different, when the descent of man into mutation creates a cancer, I am quite right in pointing this out. The purpose was not to behave like the men and the women of Sodom (סְדוֹם) and Gomorrah (עמורה): the purpose was to follow the example of such men as Noah (נֹחַ), Abraham (אַבְרָהָם), and Moses (מֹשֶׁה); I should add that this is strictly the case from an so-called Abrahamic point of view, and something quite similar, though perhaps not equivalent, could be said about the Far East.
