Pride... PPride this and pride that. Modern people seem to be prideful (proud) of a lot of things, really a lot of things that really do not amount to much upon further examination. For instance, I thought that it would be in keeping with the times to bring up homosexual pride here at the end of June, but really that is just one thing that modern people seem to be very prideful about, but the most annoying thing about pride in the colloquial sense is not homosexual pride, or national pride, but the fact that moderns will be very selective with what they consider appropriate pride, because of course there are many things that you are not supposed to be prideful of these days as well, and to me it all does seem somewhat convoluted, until you consider why moderns behave in this way.
    First of all, most of these aforementioned behaviors stem not from something that happens consciously but is rather a result of ideological indoctrination, read "Western Hegemony", that works on a subtle and very primitive, really infra-human, level, and because of this moderns react rather than contemplate, especially Westerners, and this means that to them something like homosexual pride or national pride seems perfectly normal, while for instance ancestral pride is frowned upon, unless of course that ancestral pride belongs to some out group, read "My Views on Multiculturalism". I should also add that in certain contexts national-pride is also frowned upon, but only to a certain degree as the overall war fever is still encouraged, especially during materially harsh times, make no mistake about this. Besides, it is also the case that homosexual pride and national pride have much more to do with each other than what most people may suspect at first, because homosexual pride is often presented as some kind of step in the "right" direction, a function of "progress", whereas national pride is presented as immoral in times of plenty and necessary in times of hardship which really amounts to all of life, at least there are always people under the Sun that are suffering; notice how the revolutionary elite will continue to reinvent old reasons for being prideful and this is why I brought up the example of national pride in particular. Of course, homosexual pride is more complicated because again, homosexuals are presented as normal and neutral, and by that I mean that at one hand, the revolutionary elite expects everyone to treat homosexuality as something quite normal, yet on the other hand people are expected to celebrate homosexuality as a new expression, a lifestyle that was not allowed in the past or at the very least suppressed in the past. Of course, the moderns are wrong on both of those counts: not only is homosexuality as ancient as humanity herself, but this behavior has always been encouraged, especially by decadent rulers, read "Temporal Power", who sought to control the masses, and to that end perversion of this kind and the other was always encouraged, especially in regards to the sensual arts.
    Really, what if anything is new about homosexuality and the other sensual deviations? Nothing that I can think of really. So, in view of that, what is it about homosexual pride that is so great, or rather why should homosexuals be prideful? Their acts and their lifestyle, read "Preferences", is nothing new under the Sun. So, I ask again, what is the point of the pride that so many people are celebrating, whether we consider homosexual pride or not, because at the end of the day homosexual pride is just one particularly acute example of this bizarre confusion? The answer is of course that there is no point, not even for material reasons alone, because in isolation homosexuality provides nothing useful for society or the material order; I should add here that there is no such thing as "sexuality" and if you wish to know why then you will have to read this post. But to continue to answer the question from above: the reason why homosexuality is encouraged is because hedonism of this kind provides an enormous distraction and a truth in and of itself, because if we conclude that the world only provides a temporary station called life and that everything in the end tends towards the same meaningless noise, then it would seem almost necessary for acts of this kind to be encouraged by those in power, illegitimate though that power is, because human frustrations have to be expressed somehow, at least this is the theory of most psychoanalysts: that humanity requires a release of frustration and anger, a catharsis, before they may move on with the meaningless facts of life, before they become enabled to exit their temporary state of existential angst; it would therefore make sense that acts such as homosexuality, addiction, left-handedness, etc would be encouraged, because something has to be released, the repression and the depression of childhood, the final celebration before the funeral of the demigod, or really before the funeral of all those dreams and hopes, read "Is there Hope?", the final act of defiance in the face of hopeless pain, the realization of me, the self. Yes, under such circumstances it has become necessary for the deviation to become personified in each living man today.
    If there ever was something to be proud of, this is surely something lost to history and what is most bizarre about the moderns is the fact that they seem to only openly celebrate weakness and deviation—unless the material circumstances change, because they lack any real principles—which is another fairly recent development. I should add that both of the examples that was brought up in this post are fairly recent developments, at least as they pertain to the concept of pride, but what I have failed to mention so far is the individualism of pride, because at one hand it would be expected that moderns should be more than eager to celebrate their own and individual strides, especially as this connects to identity, but it also seems that people prefer a kind of collective pride over individual pride, and this is because identity is a political issue these days, read "Identity Politics", and as politics goes so does pride of one thing or the other. Essentially, this is another problem having to do with borders, and in this instance identity is the barriers that one one hand creates a distinction but on the other enables, like a bridge, the intercommunication between the individual and politics, which is what enables mass politics to begin with, read "Democracy". In the end, you are not proud and you know it, but in your current deviated state you are too delirious to realize this and too controlled. Pride does not belong to you anyways, but that is a topic for another time.
