Finding a Wife |
Wednesday – October 14, 2026
Finding a wife is on the mind of one of my readers and I suppose as well that this is not a new issue in this series. Now, I do not mind answering questions of this kind, but you are free to ask me anything else too. I do realize that relationship issues are rather common these days, as society is becoming more and more dysfunctional and as people are becoming more and more bizarre. Of course, the prospect of finding a wife may perhaps seem bleak today, but I should add that not every man is destined to become a husband, for this has to be so, this has been ordained, and perhaps this is the case in particular with men who struggle with a confused sense of self, really an inner turmoil, read "Homosexuality!". It is also not my purpose to present an entirely lexical, fundamentalist, and exoteric approach to these matters, but for more on that, read "My Views on Fundamentalism".
Now, I must state again, due to a recent issue, that this page (this blog) is currently under a lot of pressure, but thus far I am able and capable of standing up to this pressure, but because I can foresee that the pressure will become more immense in the future, it could become so detrimental and so adverse, that I would simply become forced to stop writing blogs entirely, and you may argue that this is the work of Satan. It is not my purpose to write blogs because I find an interest in writing alone, it is my purpose to write blogs because this is my calling, read "Dreaming", but currently this is becoming harder and harder, and again I may have to essentially close this shop up, which would be unfortunate, but even I have certain and sacred limits, read "The Problem of Borders". I do intend to keep everyone reading this page, this blog, updated, but this is my latest update, and perhaps there will be more to come, only time can tell. Again, these are unfortunate and very adverse developments, and they are all political in nature.
As per usual in this series, I have certain rules, often soft, that I need to apply, mostly for editorial reasons, and yes you could even refer to these rules as a kind of editorial policy, but only slightly, because I seldom have hard rules, as I believe that a certain level of flexibility has to be included in order for any enterprise to succeed.
Now, I will sometimes find it necessary to not include the entire letter that someone has sent to me, because some letters are too long, and again the purpose of this series is for me to answer your questions in the form of letters sent to me. Now, another thing that sometimes will be necessary, is for me to substitute certain and often offensive parts of a letter that I still find it necessary, often for contextual reasons to include in my quotations, and in that event I will indicate this substitution with the usage of two brackets, [text]. This happens mostly because certain letters have been composed in such a way that they carry too many overt or implicitly offensive statements; now, it could also be the case that I chose to still substitute a part of a letter because I simply find that the information is too personal, and I will also indicate this clearly in the same aforementioned way. Sometimes, I will also find it necessary to not include certain passages in between parts of a letter that I end up quoting, and in that case I will indicate this by using three dots inside two brackets. Now, there is still no order to how and when I respond to a certain letter, and so this means that it could take a while for me to get around to your particular letter. I will generally not communicate anything directly with you, which means that I will only respond whenever I get around to your letter. Now, since the letters that I am receiving are getting fewer and fewer, I may have to pause this series for a while; if that happens I will simply not update this series with new posts.
Now, to finally get to the letter at hand I cannot say that this letter is controversial and I can also not say that I find a need to clarify anything. This letter is simply a question about finding a wife: a man attempting to find his way in life. Now, I must again say that I am not here to provide precise advice, and this is why I find the need to often engage in conjecture whenever I answer these letters, and so you must always take my advice in relation to that conjecture, and perhaps it is the case that I am completely off the mark in my conjecture, and in which case you may be better off skipping out on my advice in that particular instance. Yes, people do often not like the sometimes too obvious answer: it depends. Not to reduce everything to relativism.
Mr. Owen Sinclair asks:
"Hi Mr. Dutt, I am a 31 year old man and I am currently looking for a wife. Must I marry a beautiful woman, or should I focus on other stuff. Should she be beautiful and also intelligent? What about her political views? I'm Canadian and I work in the service industry. Sincerely, Owen Sinclair." — Owen Sinclair.
Well yes, Mr. Sinclair, I see that you are interesting in getting married and finding yourself a wife, a suitable wife, and as I told Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed in the previous installment of this series: these matters are highly sensitive and culturally dependant, and since you appear to belong to the profoundly Western culture of Canada, I can only say that my advice to you will be different from the advice that I provided in the previous part. Yes, you are looking for a wife, but have you ever considered why you are looking for a wife? Is "looking for a wife" a goal worthy of consideration in and of itself? Or are you perhaps mistaken? Could it be the case that you are now under the impression that you are just going to come across the "right" woman one of these days, based purely on your preference for her exterior characteristics? Now granted, this is the Western approach, the Western style, so to speak, of dealing with these issues, but I must assure you Mr. Sinclair, that you will almost certainly not find a wife if you continue to live as if you are somehow destined to find the "right wife". These things do not happen without the proper intercommunication between the heaven and the earth, and since these transmissions have been almost completely shut off in the Western world, you are essentially only hoping and dreaming, but never living. Essentially, your wish to find a beautiful wife has now been reduced to a number game, and as number games tend to go: you will be disappointed, and if you are lucky, then perhaps you will be able to "find" a wife, but this would only be out of pure and mechanical luck, nothing more, and so the connection between you and your wife would be completely profane and without essence. Substance without essence, form without beauty,..., is merely something artificial and virtual, which is exactly the kind of relationship that you are destined for if you continue to act like this, read "Marriage", you will never become a married man, which is perhaps your proper place.
Of course, in the past men and women used to enter into what moderns call "arranged marriages", but perhaps I am going too far her, perhaps someone with an immigrant background in a nation built by immigrants would have a hard time grasping the concept of history? I am being quite serious here, because we are dealing with history, and it does seem that a certain mongrel mentality tends to dissipate any sense of history once enough men have become rendered rootless and cosmopolitan, really once multiculturalism has reached a certain critical point. It seems to me that all of this added noise has also added a significant hurdle in the way of your present position and your destiny, and this is something that you are going to have to reckon with at some point: are you more likely under your present circumstances to become married? Probably not.
Now, the matter of your wife being beautiful and intelligent is important, and I must mention that while this question carries a certain individualism, these matters are still important and cannot be overlooked. Now, the hard material truth is that good things, from a material point of view, tend to cluster, and conversely, bad things, also from a material point of view, tend to cluster. This all is to say that a beautiful woman is also somewhat more likely to be intelligent than an ugly woman, which means that you are not likely to find such a woman since you work in the "service industry", which in turn means that you likely have a low material status, and in which case you may be better off without marriage, as again every man is not destined for marriage, and besides under the present circumstances, even fewer men are truly destined for marriage. Your alternative, most likely alternative, would be to marry an ugly and unintelligent woman, and perhaps you would be happy with this, only you can tell since your preferences seem very important to you. I suppose too, that this ties into your concern about her political views, because a woman that is overtly political is perhaps also not likely to be very stable; really, people who engage in politics do not tend to represent a very robust stock, in my view. Which is why I am advising you to stay clear of any woman who expresses her political views, whether or not they happen to coincide with your views, for such a marriage is also less likely to be happy.
In your current situation, my best advice for you, if you do wish to marry: leave Canada behind and move to the Far East. In the Far East you are much more likely to become married and find a woman who will be truly stable, read Part 13 of this series. I suppose too, that a rather rootless person such as yourself should have an easier time immigrating than someone more established.
