The State of Geopolitics |
Saturday – October 17, 2026

Politics is an issue that I tend to avoid, but as they say, the moderns, everything is very much about politics, and indeed this can be no less true for the world, or geopolitics, and since the world is finding itself in a certain moment, I have been forced, I feel, to make some comments. Now, perhaps these comments will be premature... Well, if they are premature, then so be it, for it was ordained to be so.
Now, I do not wish to take any sides because I am not affected by this flux, and because I regard myself as existing on a plane above all of these corporeal concerns. I should state that I completely reject the notion that I have to take sides in a conflict, in a tension that does not affect me, and if you believe that I must take sides, then you are mistaken, and really a participant rather than an observer, and in that case I can see why you would feel compelled to take sides. I should say that while you have the right to take sides in any conflict, you must know that you are not obligated, and if you actually intend to take sides, then you will never become truly liberated, enlightened. In the case of Geopolitics, I can only say that there is no light at the end of the tunnel, there is no hope, and this is just as well, this is just as well. I should also add in regards to refusing to take sides that there is a difference between taking sides from a material point of view and taking sides from a moral point of view; if you wish to learn more about this, read my previous post "Good Things".
When it comes to geopolitical tensions today, I must say that they are actually not that great when compared to recent history, and while many people may feel that the world is on fire, it would be true to say that the world was on fire every day in the 20th century, and compared to that height, the world is actually rather colder at the moment, but yes people are made to believe that the world is on fire by the media and all the constant propaganda, and this is just unfortunate, read "Fear!". There has been a certain non proportionality in the lazy reporting of many of these issues: for instance, there have been constant hysteria around the Palestine issue, but very little talk about the Sudan issue, where that neologism "genocide" actually would apply, and of course not to mention the confused Western view of the Near East. Of course, the issue of Ukraine is also somewhat of a fixation point, beyond the issues in Iran and Palestine. But again, these issues are quite minor in scale, and this is yet another reason why I find very little importance in even attempting to cover these issues, because they do not really matter and they will not matter, for the most part, in the grand scheme. This is perhaps the most important point, because there are a large amount of people out there who genuinely believe that the world is in a worse state right now than ever before, and yes to some extent these people have to be quite right, but they are right for the wrong reasons, for the wrong humanitarian and sentimental reasons, read "Spoils of War". The world is in a bad and increasingly worse state for it must be so, read "The Eschatology of the Kali Yuga". Now, in terms of a major conflagration that would threaten to engulf the entirety of the world, the possibility of this I believe we would be prudent in mostly writing off, but not entirely, because after all one can never be too sure about these matters, and these matters will get worse, but not necessarily in the same way that they went wrong in the past. Yes, if we consider war the greatest tragedy and calamity of the previous century, perhaps this would also be so during our 21st, but I think we would be even more prudent in not assuming this, as the challenges that currently face humanity are different and of course more degenerated than those that faced humanity in the previous century, read "The End of History". Really, for the most part, humans today are fat and ugly and not really capable, and so from this point of view there is no reason to fear anything. I keep saying that fear is the worst thing that can happen, and yes this is very much true, because when you allow yourself to fear you lose the grip completely, completely, and so this is the only truth there is: do not fear, do not fear.
A quick comment that certainly bears repeating: when it comes to Europe, what more can be said: there has been nothing but war in Europe, and so let it be. Yes, I am a proponent of peace, but since the dawn of European civilization, those people have been killing each other with diligent effort, and so all that I can say is that I am in favour of peace, but I do not expect anyone to listen to me, of course not, read "On Disarmament". But all of this talk about how everything is serious is nothing but another enormous fraud; there is nothing serious going on today at all. If anything, most modern humans are profoundly unserious, and this is also just as well. They will sometimes say something along the lines of how deeply borning the modern world is, and yes the modern world is boring, read "The End of History". I do not care if these comments are boring themselves; the modern world is boring, and so I hope that it stays this way. No, it was a while ago now, the Age of Exploration... HA HA HA HA HA HA! Yes, I am laughing because I find the tense seriousness funny. Yes, eventually the absurdity will be exposed I am sure, and if not then I can continue to look at the world, because at least I am able to see right through the lies and the propaganda, and this is an ability that I have had for some time. Now, go away if you do not trust my judgment, and yes do disconnect from the internet, because the internet is something quite ruinous for anyone's mental health, and for anyone seeking new heights, not that you should look for such things in the material domain, and not that it would be right to refer to this as the "material domain"; this term is really not well applied here, but I digress. If the world is to disintegrate, then this is meant to be.
