The Worries of a Young Man |
Saturday – November 6, 2026
Today I have received a fan letter, for the first time actually which was unexpected I suppose, and this letter was written by a rather young man, a young man carrying the burden of knowledge, a heavy burden, but at least I can say that this young man is far ahead of his peers.
Now, I realize that the situation that many young men are facing, especially in the Western World, is rather hard, rather difficult, but my purpose is not to lie, my purpose is not to tell pretty fairy tales; my purpose is to continue my mission, read "Dreaming", which is why I will remain unashamed and why I will continue to report on the state of things with no hesitation. To be a young man today is truly a catastrophe, read "The Problem of Raising Boys", which is why I have called on people to reconsider even putting boys into the world, but more on this at another time. I should say here that it must be the case that we are facing these difficulties, for without these difficulties, the world would not exist, without these difficulties the world could not exist rather at all, read "The Eschatology of the Kali Yuga". Are we insane? No, the world is insane, and this is what I need you (the readers) to take away the most from this entire enterprise: you are living in an insane world, but again more on this elsewhere.
As usual, I do have certain rules that I seek to apply in this series, in this 17th installment of my "Answering Readers series", and really most of these "rules" tend to be rather "soft" and they tend to revolve around what I have decided to call my editorial policy, because most of the rules have to do with what I have decided to quote on this page from the letter that I intend to address, and so certain clarifications are perhaps called for before we may proceed with answering the letter at hand. Now, I do tend to repeat myself when it comes to this part, which is why I am currently attempting to shorten this part of the post. I should also state that I have read all letters that I have received so far, but I have not yet had enough time to answer all letters, but I have not received a new letter in a while, which is a problem, because this means that I may simply run out of letters to respond to eventually. I should also mention that it is not necessary for you to reveal your name in your letters to me, because your name is really of no importance; I rather have you reveal other more relevant details about who you are and perhaps about your concerns, so that I may be better able to actually respond to your questions without having to engage in a certain measure of conjecture, which is one of the things that I tend to have to do in this series, and a thing that I tend to mention in this series. The less information, relevant information, about you that I am able to receive or gather from your letters, the more I may be forced to engage in conjecture, really in attempting to add certain things up on my own. Now, the strongest rule, really a hard rule, that I apply in this series on occasion is what I refer to as substitution, that is: I may sometimes be forced to substitute (replace really) certain words with others in order to remove offensive language or language that reveal information that is privileged or if not privileged completely irrelevant. All substitutions will be indicated by the usage of two brackets, [text]. If I happen to use three dots inside two brackets, [...], this specifically means that I have decided to simply not include some, typically irrelevant passage from the letter quoted here, in my quotation, mostly in order to save time and to save space on the page. Again, if I end up substituting something, I will indicate this with two brackets, [text]. For the most part, I have found little need to do this.
Now, to get to the letter at hand, I must begin by declaring that yes, this letter is somewhat offensive for it contains a somewhat offensive line. Due to the singular nature of this offensive line, one word, I have decided to not substitute this word for another word, nor have I decided to simply cut this part out. The word at hand is "shithole", and since this word belongs to most English colloquialisms, I also find it silly to cut out this word, from the quotation below. Again, my purpose is also not to avoid offending people, not at all, for such an enterprise would be quite unenvious.
Mr. Anders Karlsson asks:
"Hello Mohandas Chandra Dutt, I am writing this letter mostly as a fan letter. I am inspired by your words and I wish you good luck. I am a 17 year old male from Sweden and I was wondering about the future of Sweden, will Sweden become a shithole in the next decades? What about the world post 2030? Sincerely yours." – Anders Karlsson.
Well, I am flattered by your fan letter Mr. Karlsson, but I must tell you now that I have no interest in such letters, not to in any way take away from your good and righteous intention. I must say too, that indeed this letter did catch my interest quite a lot, and of course this is why I decided to answer your letter almost immediately, since I received it just recently. Yes, the fact that you are a 17-year old man, a young man is certainly a reason for me to pay special interest to your letter as you are facing your entire life ahead, in a world void of meaning, a disenchanted world. Of course, you did refer to yourself as a male in your letter, and you may of course refer your yourself as a male if you wish to, but I would recommend that you did refer instead to yourself as a young man, or even a boy, but preferably a young man, because the word "male" carries a certain undertone that threatens to reduce you to a specimen rather than an individual and unique human in the world. I gather too, that your situation can seem quite disastrous from the point of view of Sweden. Sweden of course being a rather disastrous example in what a modern government may not do in the course of advancing the multiculturalist lie, read "Ideological Indoctrination", and of course in your case I gather too that you are pondering about some rather existential questions, questions that sometimes are hard to confront, let alone answer in full honesty. Of course, here I am forced, again, to engage in a certain measure of conjecture, all in order so that I may answer your letter meaningfully, but Sweden and many countries in Europe do tend to look rather bleak in terms of their future outlook, and this is certainly due to the painful conflicts inherent in the aforementioned ideological agenda, and too Sweden should be taken as an example of why the nation-state concept has been so disastrous, really a counterfeit, read "The Problem with Nationalism", and in your case I understand the urgency.
Will Sweden be reduced to a "shithole" country in the coming years, and what is the outlook for in the post 2030 world? Sure, these are all relevant questions in the face of Sweden and in the face of the ultimate course of the world, but to this question I first have to counter: is not Sweden and much of the so-called "developed" world already a, to quote you precisely Mr. Karlsson, "shithole"? It seems to me that indeed Sweden and much of Europe these days already are "shitholes", and this has indeed been the case for quite some time, and yes again you may invoke here the destruction of the Order of the Knights Templar in 1312. Again, it is not my usual practice to rely on words such as "shithole", but I thought that it would be quite helpful in this context. Of course Sweden, like much of Western and Northern Europe has been flooded with immigrants, and the fact is that the demographic and cultural landscape of Sweden has changed, which has caused a certain amount of anxiety and perhaps unwelcomed disruption, and I gather Mr. Karlsson that you are feeling this anxiety, a justified anxiety.
Now, despite this justifiable anxiety, you must still resist the urge to engage in some kind of stupid nationalist cause, for this is destined to fail, and besides nationalism cannot possibly be the answer, read "Violence". Instead, I urge you to seek the answer on this page and within. Your goal must be wholly oriented towards salvation and enlightenment, not some material goal of restoring a lost past. The world is lost but this does not mean that you have to be lost. You are still young and most of your days are still far ahead of you, which is why you have a great opportunity to actually reach higher grounds. In fact Mr. Karlsson, I recommend that you travel the world, and that you attempt to find meaning beyond the material boundaries, read "The Problem of Borders". The imposition of the world onto you is the problem; yes, this is the problem that you must resolve, read "Should You Retire from the World?".
