Observations About the World, Part Forty-Six

Radio is a topic that I have covered in the past, read more here, and I have been forced again to consider the rather sad state of radio, because today all the young people are obsessed with technology that is instant and relies on the destruction of history, the destruction of any reference point. To me, radio is the most important technology there is, because it enables man to communicate across a certain distance without the need for a third party, a middle man, and yes, you might say that when we tune the radio that we instead rely on the medium of propagation, and while this is true, let us consider the fact that the medium of propagation does not attempt to manipulate us, it does not attempt to sell us ads, and it does not require any kind of malign algorithm, for the medium of propagation depends entirely on circumstances still beyond the range of man's abilities. This is why radio should really be quite synonymous with freedom, and even freedom of movement, read "The Problem of Borders". Again, a radio, a receiver in this case, only requires you to be able to put up an antenna, often a telescopic antenna is enough, in the pursuit of signals and information. Yes, information is important, but then we must also consider the people in control of the information that we consume, read "The News Cycle", and so if we should consume information at all, we should do this in a prudent manner. Ah, prudence indeed, and when the state of radio is so sad, we should be weary. Without radio, we must rely on information where the main narrative is controlled beyond our ability to affect the narrative, but when we tune the radio (the dial), we are capable of finding another station, another signal, without having to rely on a medium that is controlled by some corporation and the state. Now that shortwave radio is on the decline, we must be even more circumspect about the information that we receive on the internet and in the newspaper. Of course, there are many other threats in this regard that we should be circumspect about as well, but the reason why I prefer shortwave is precisely because it allows us to still rely on natural cycles; the intention of these people is to completely remove our dependance on nature and to enclose us in a closed system, a grounded system without any ability on our part to find an outlet, read "Nature". Of course, these cahagnes never seem to happen over night, because it would be too abrupt, and again I must clarify that it is by no means my intention to spread conspiratorial and paranoid nonsense, but these observations are true, and it is not about some kind of evil intention on the part of those in power to shut down radio; instead we are dealing with the logical conclusion of what I refer to as "Mechanical Procedures", read as well "Mechanism".

    Of course, shortwave radio, a topic that I have covered in the past, has been on the decline for quite some time now, and it is unfortunate that this should be the case, but most people are lazy and they take a borning interest in the world, and to them something like this seems like nothing of importance, but some of them will look back in the future and understand that they missed this opportunity. Now, I do not intend on getting hung up on shortwave radio in particular, but this form of radio is important in particular, because it enables us to listen to signals from other countries, as these wavelengths can cross international borders much more easily and as such we can be allowed information that is more useful, or at any rate that provides us with a different perspective. Of course, I would still argue that it is generally a bad idea to become intoxicated with information, because too much information will only serve to unbalance most people, read "The End of History", and make them lose touch with reality, which is the intention of some actors, because some of these people very well know what they are doing. In terms of trying to resist this adverse development I can only say that I believe that any such efforts will be futile and quite stupid, but this does not mean that you should stop attempting to do what you can do to gain information outside of the narrative. Notice as well that most news articles are all about fear or vapid sentimentalism. Do not fear; this is the only thing that you must know: do not fear. There is not point in being afraid, because when you become afraid, then you will lose, not only your self control, but your destiny, but I have written about this in the past, but it still needs to be reiterated; important stuff should be reiterated over and over again, but not necessarily in a repetitive manner though; I still believe that there is a need to keep up with some semblance of poetic rhythm, not that I would consider myself a poet or even a qualified writer.

    Now, I will still recommend anyone reading this to continue to listen to radio, and if you do not listen to radio, you can always pick up a radio, in order to be prepared and in order to protect yourself against the onslaught of misinformation and propaganda. Yes, you need to be able to create a resistance against all of this, or else you risk overloading and lose all your sensitivity and ability to gather information that is actually useful and important, and really information that could one day save your life. Ask yourself this: if you are on a sinking ship, would the fact that the captain of the happens to be a woman at that moment matter? I think not, and sure, it may be appropriate to wonder at a later stage whether or not the fact that the captain was a woman somehow contributed to the sinking of the ship was a relevant factor, but not in the moment that you need to exist the ship and find some kind of rescue; no, in such critical moments, nonsense information must be thrown away, and sure we may always return to such information in the past, when we can actually put it into proper context, but not when the ship is going down. Again, do not allow the stream of information at any given moment overwhelm you and turn you into a solidified person, such as what happened to Lot's (לוֹט) wife. The world is a big place, but history is a much bigger place, and without history as a reference point, we could not know ourselves, and then we are truly lost. Oh yes.
