Letting Things Go...
Tuesday – May 26, 2026
Seldom have I ever allowed myself to hold on to things beyond their "expiration date"... Well, something like that is how most modern people would like to think they operate in this our world, but this is far from the truth, and even if someone manages to live life in this seemingly functional and fluid, yes this conspicuously hip and casual, manner they will not be satisfied, for what they are expressing is a kind of continual loss, a kind of loss of autonomy, even though they make a great noise about being so individual and unique; of course, there is nothing "unique", or rather there is very little "uniqueness" about most modern men, and in fact I will continue to assert that modern humanity is the most uniform iteration of mankind yet, but I shall not go on about this point further, as it is situated outside the scope of this post.
But yes, I agree with the psychoanalysts that there is value, understand "value" here in its full and metaphysical meaning, in letting things go, and this could surely apply to all that materialism and shallow affection as well as to different kinds of emotionalism's that continues to bedevil modern man, read "Sentimentalism", and really the first step towards a kind of resolution that is required for true understanding, true knowledge, of the world would begin with allowing all of that noise to settle down, and this is perhaps why isolation from the world at large is required, depending on the supra-individual circumstances of course, because there are individuals with a higher likelihood of achieving this, read "Hierarchy". I should also further develop my points on this modern concept of "autonomy", another expression of extremist individualism, because it seems that modern men seek this autonomy in freedom, read "What is Freedom?", yet they seem unable to ever achieve autonomy and the further the press for this, the less autonomous they tend to become; this is of course merely an observation but nonetheless quite a curious one I think. My view of this weird contradiction is that when men seek materialism their radius of concern and knowledge keeps shrinking, read "The End of History", and as a result they lose whatever it is they feel should be their freedom or "natural right", because materialism can never be satisfying enough, but this has always been a key and defining feature of materialism, but today most men have lost this knowledge, and subsequently their minds, and with that any hope that they should somehow regain "autonomy"; of course, what they may hope for is that they can regain their autophagy, read "Destruction!". That last clause was of course a joke, but a funny joke, and this is why I should also direct you to my post called "Disintegration", if you seek to understand the joke that is. Also, do not get me confused with the psychoanalysts, because I do not share their conviction, and besides, most of them are only guessing, at least it would seem like most of them are guessing, for what they call science and medicine cannot even be thought of as a kind of profane science, read "Sacred Medicine"; this is how low the moderns have reached, because after all there is a certain level of empiricism when it comes to certain forms of profane science, but hardly in the case of psychoanalysis.
All of the previous points aside: how do you actually go about "letting things go", and why in the first place is it important to "let things go"? First of all, it is important to let things go in order to gain true and supra-individual autonomy—I am merely borrowing that neologism of "autonomy" for the moment—and once you can truly just "let things go" you can actually begin the journey towards enlightenment, for this will allow you to gain true authority over your actions, especially if you happen to be of a Western or Westernized mentality where action is praised above all else, but understand as well that "letting things go" often means letting the urge to do unto the world your will go as well; in other words: it is important that you are able to release yourself from your inferior and corporeal form, and this requires of you the strength to push all addictions and sinful impulses aside, an ability that is sorely lacking in the modern world, read "Fatness". Also, once you have enabled yourself to actually "let things go", you may become water, as the old Taoist adage goes; but this may seem somewhat mystical to most infidels, and it would be understandable that they laugh, but do remember that in the end they will not be the ones laughing, read "My Views on the Nature of Providence". Then, how do you actually "let things go"? Well, that is a rather more difficult question to answer, because while I, hopefully, have established the reasons why you should seek to "let things go", I must admit that I have dragged out on actually explaining how to go about "letting things go", but here I go... Look, you probably know that you hold onto certain unspeakable obsessions that may or may not, depending on your current and dilapidated state, torment you during the nights, the long nights in particular, and this torment should be taken as the sign that it is: you need "to let it go". Okay, so again, how do you go about doing this? Well, the best way is to allow yourself to become overwhelmed by emotion, and when you do this, understand where all of those emotions come from: they come from the populist horde, politicians, and above all the serpent. Emotions of this sorted nature are not artifacts of a confused mind; these emotions have been planted inside your mind primarily to make you doubtful and unable to move past the material order. Without strength, read "My Views on Strength", you will never overcome these forces, and in the end you will become completely solidified. Also, when you allow yourself to become overwhelmed by emotionalism, understand as well that these "emotions" are not only imposed on you, they are a sign of your own diseased state: the fact that you have fallen so low, so low. I believe that showering in cold water is quite analogous to this, but not equivalent, certainly not. Lastly, you may also try deep contemplation and meditation, but I would recommend allowing these exercises to "coexist" or confluence with each other for the best result, not that this is about results, but again I need to rely on this language in order to communicate within the current linguistic paradigm of pure materialism.
